Further news on Stockport tickets

Recommended Posts

The club have been informed that the 'away' terrace (Railway End) is 99% certain to be closed on Saturday week.

The tickets that the club have for sale are all in the Vernons Building Society stand which is adjacent to the Railway End.

There are plenty of tickets still available and a further 800 will be available for sale on the day.

There is also a very nice Celebration Package (they are 100 years old this year) available for £60. It includes complimentary bar, a four-course meal, programme, Directors Box seat, commemorative gift, players lounge passes etc.

Contact Steve Eames to book.

This could be funny, we are all rich as we're city, we'd easly do £60 worth of drink, directors box would be funny, everone loves a gift and them pissed up talking to the players in the bar afterwards.

Clogs?

No seriously. What's the deal on the £60? When does the complimentary bar open? Close? What time is the lunch? Does the complimentary bar bit extend to the 'players lounge'? Is the seat in the Directors box obligatory or can it be converted to a rover ticket so we can sit where we like? What is the dress rule?

The Supporters Club convoy leaves at 8.45. After a comfort break [whatever that is] we'll arrive at the Theatre of Dreams at, what, 1/1.30? Now if the £60 inludes entry to the ground, programme, lunch, and complimentary bar before and after the game, and there's no dress rule, that's a deal worth taking seriously.

I'm up for it subject to the answers to the questions above.

I have no intention of getting smashed but if 'complimentary bar' means one glass of Blue Nun with t'pie and mushy peas, and if we can't sit with our lot during t'match, and if a glass of mild is £3 in t'players lounge because t'complimentary bar closed yesterday, and if it's jacket, collar and tie, then it's not quite the interesting picture that I have in mind.

Let's have a word with t'chap who used to drive t'red tractor on Saturday.

[Edit] P.S.: On second thoughts, I'll phone Stockport tomorrow and get the details. I have a meeting with a chap from Leeds in the morning. He can help with the translation if necessary.
