Was it my imagination, or did we see our reserve keeper Duncan Roberts get on the train at St Albans last night when we finally got home?

 

And was it my imagination, or did someone say he'd quit?

I dont remember seeing him. Quitting is a bit harsh. He's had a go in goal and now we need Wilmott back. Mind you I dont think he was that bad on Saturday but people were moaning about his mistakes and suddenly he is dropped. Football is such a fickle game!

 

Can I just say thanks to EFM who kept us (and the rest of the public!) all entertained on the train/tube home last night!!

lets buy a good keeper!i do think its harsh on roberts but you will let wilmot back in and u will see David Seaman playing then! We dont want loads of mistakes by wilmot as usual! GET A GOOD KEEPER!

How can you say Wilmot makes loads of mistakes?? I admit he does sometimes let in a few he shouldn't but the number of goals he must have saved which most other keepers in our league wouldn't have is much higher.

Roberts is a good keeper but isn't as good as Wilmot. Wilmot does the unexpected of a keeper in our league.

It's called squad rotation, Hel. It's why Wilmot lost his place as well.

 

 

With regard to the incident last night. Don't quote me but from my recollection as we were getting off the train at St. Albans he was getting on. A certain Hooded Man pointed him out and said 'oi, that's our goalkeeper, he plays for City he does,' or words to that effect. To which he responed 'not any more I don't.'

 

I could be wrong though. To use a classic quote by Homer Simpson, 'I dunno [if I was shouting at you], a lot of people were shouting stuff.'

wilmot cant kick the ball off the ground yet aswell! he does stupid things like kick the ball out of play for no reason!

So GHA, you mean it was taken out of context. We assume he meant, 'well I didnt play last night', not, 'I wont play for them again!'
