Billericay 5-0 Wivenhoe

I just want to say that, although a scrappy affair, Wivenhoe did apply themselves well until they pushed the self destruct button and started dishing out some quite nasty tackles (How is Danny Gilley. For the reserve centre forward I thought he applied himself well at the back).

Also, there appears to be a lack of praise for The Blues for "tucking Wivenhoe away". Okay, not the best oppo we have met this season but we did win 5-0 and all the goals were well taken. I know there was some frustration shown in the stands towards George and Gary but it would be nice for someone to say something positive. I mean, come on, 5-0. I'd admit not the best game I have seen but we still won it!!!

i felt that in contrast to most of our games this season we were slow out of the blocks but improved steadily thru out the game.

as gazza said u can only beat what is put in front of you and we did that nicely which hopefully will give the team some confidence for saturday.

some interesting team selections especially at centre half...i would expect russell to slot in there on saturday...

positives:

1) i thought henty did well at right back and perhaps he has a chance to get a run in the team in that position. 2) willo got better as the game went on - the benefits of match practice (shame fewings doesnt get that chance). 3) richard graham was a man on a mission when he came on. i hope the management respond positively to his attitude. 4) nice idea to let dj take the second pen - he deserved a goal. 5) mark brennan wasnt selected

negatives:

1) i cant understand why the management feel that it s not their responsibility to tell one of our players to calm down when there s a chance he will get himself sent off. surely it is

anyway we go to aldershot with most of us expecting not too much..perhaps thats the best way..we can only be pleasantly surprised...cmon the bluessss!!

having been a critic the last couple of weeks, i would like to say well done to the lads for getting past a potenial banana skin. Looked a bit more solid at the back, and we took the goals well.

All in all nothing wrong really, lets hope lads can lift it even more for sat.

Oh and Richard G looked as good as ever, either he is playing well to put himself in the shop window or is trying to prove he is worth his place, either way the player cant lose.
