Just contacted ground further pitch inspection at 4.45

Disadvantage - we could have got within 4 points of playoffs had we played and won.

 

Advantage - I reckon the crowd would have been badly reduced by the uncertainty over the game and the freezing weather generally leading to people staying home rather than coming to the game.

 

Playing it later in the season when it is a bit warmer,especially if bothsides are in play off contention could see a much bigger crowd.

Dagenham v Crawley was also called off.

 

Despite that being called off twenty minutes after our match with Crawley was called off three and a half weeks ago many of them seem happy about it. See their forum.

I wonder which weather forecast they were using ? Presumably one of Michael Fish's !!
