My mate Gordon at work has a book of every FA cup season since time began and after working out his teams complete record (Stafford rangers) he's now started on our mob, when he's finished I'll post it on here. He's done up to WW1 and here are some "highlights"

 

The old St.Albans team played both West Ham and Arsenal

The current St.Albans team played the likes of Gillingham and Hartlepool.

The team with the best name we played were Shredded Wheat in about 1935.

I think, "Thames Ironworks" is the forerunner to West Ham. There was another team called "Thames" in the thirties, but I don't think they are the same.

Probably, but at the time, all the London clubs were in the Southern League, so a bit like beating Newport County.
