New Stricker for Town

A new stricker is needed if we are to maintain our challenge for promotion.

Over the season ( with the exception of a few games ) our front line has been too weak against the big defenders all teams ( apart from us ) seem to have.

Trevor and Bryne may be great players playing "off a front man" but they cannot do it themselves. They often play so deep we do not have a front line and the defenders have an easy game.

I could not understand the reason for playing Lee Smith in midfield at Corby. We were 0 - 1 down. Why not push forward with 3 up front. If we went down 0 - 2 so be it, but at least we would have "had a go".

As noted on another thread., Corby were holding on against 9 in the last few minutes !

In my opinion we need a big strong goal scoring forward NOW. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

It was no contest.

I see that Dartford have just signed 16 goal Cass from Chatham as they push to move up from 5th spot to claim a top two position.

It seems everyone is aquiring players.Every time we are about to play someone in the league,we hear that they have just signed or have loaned a couple of new players.Same with Corby yesterday.Two new signings from Kettering.

but when we do sign new players people moan that they go into the first team.....

If we occassionaly signed players that were actually better than the player we already have.No one would moan about them coming straight into the side.

 

Its when new players of equal or less ability than the players they are replacing,come straight into the side.Thats when we have a bit of a moan.

Perhaps new players have to come straight into the side because we don't have a reserve team?
