Club Name / Club Badge

Recommended Posts

Just as a side to the serious questions of attendances, lack of strikers etc. etc. I note that the board recently announced that they were not considering a name change and that they were doing all that they could to ensure that the club's full name appeared in the press. Prior to last weeks debacle at Boreham Wood I looked at all the non league fixtures in the Daily Mail, sure enough there was Dagenham & Redbridge, Havant & Waterlooville, Walton & Hersham, etc. etc. but still just Gravesend?

As another point, I was wondering why the club hasn't considered changing the clubs badge to that of the towns badge (as per the picture next to this posting).

On the badge thing, not being an expert but isnt the towns badge in the public domain. There fore anyone could produce products with the bagde on it. As I remember this was the reason that Arsenal changed their badge a few seasons ago bescause they couldn't stop unoffical products using the badge. Though I might be talking a load of pony...

think of the cost to put that the gravesham coat of arms on all team shirts and the replication shirts. The intracy would be quite expensive.

The best thing is to get a new sponsor for next year. I still say eurostar,or ebbsfleet station because of the new international train station should be approached.
