parking

Recommended Posts

why is it that neighbours that have 2,3,4 and more cars think its there right to park all cars outside there house and in a line.

mine go one better, I have a drop kerb, they insist parking right up to it, neighbours the other side and leaving enough room so they can drive there 3rd car straight of there run way, funny thing is they only have a boy of 7 and a new born baby and 3 cars , and on the opposite side of the road the same problem, then when there friends turn up park over my driveway

Take no notice mate.

Same happens where I live, narrow road so they park directly oposite my drive and either side of it and (sorry know you dont like them but) I have a 4 X 4 so quite wide and long. And yes before you lot start i'm a woman, but I can drive (23 years and no accidents of my own doing) but its a pain in the neck trying to get onto the road.

Not every one has a big on & off drive (sorry Cantos).

I just hope a fire engine never has to get down my road. Still I believe they just shunt them out the way if they cant get through.

Maybe we should get a blue light Zody and just move them ourselves lol

No-one has a "right" to park outside their house, as such. Provided there are no parking restrictions, and they park legally, however, there is no reason why anyone can't park as many cars as they like where they like, including outside other people's houses. Obviously one should not park across a dropped kerb.

Normally one would expect a bit of common sense and neighbourly good manners though, in the spirit of co-operation. Usually a sort of tacit system evolves where people park in their usual spots and everyone gets along. Notwithstanding that, it annoys me if people get upset when someone, a visitor usually, parks in "their" spot as they are perfectly entitled to do, and they ccome out and have a go at them.
