before you get upset "Said tounge in cheek"

well it is christmas...and I have a had a few too many sherries...

Well the real answer needs to be answered by the membership...do you want us to continue as a trust helping our club or not...because if we don't do all those things, who will suffer ? our members our supporters or ultimatly our club !

Yes I take your points that this maybe the only way to shake the present football club to come clean on all "the in house problems" but are you i or who ever be able to sort it out ?

I am proberley the wrong person to do this I guess , so who will put themselves forward to get a grip of this ??

I personally don't have the atributes that you are looking for or the knowledge or the experiance so I will be standing down from the Trust Board this year...and as you seam all the be very unhappy at the way things are going I would expect the other board members to do so as well...

I take all your points to the arguement, but I can not see who wants to take this project on...after 25 years...I think I have had enough...

Good luck....

Copy again for all to see what our mandate was at our launch...this was copied from Ian Latheys posting :

A good representation of what the trust was form to do and has acheived....

But I know we have to do more...and we need your help too....

This has been posted after a conversation with Staines Rebel, who was un happy that we were giving money to charities instead of keeping it in the trust ! Also He commented to me that we should have been formed into a charitiable trust, since talking with a few people ...we can do this when we form a Football in the community scheme this part could beecome a charity , but as for running a football club we can not become a charitable trust... (that is why the trust was form as a back up)

Quote : From Ian Lathey

Seems as there is some unnecessary comments being made, I thought I'd dig out the presentation from the Trust launch evening to clarify what was said at the time....

Trust Aims and Objectves:

- Flexible as long as you do as the club says

- Fund raising and sponsorship for who

- Involvement in youth football yes

- Encourage Community based club not working

- Promote positive image for Slough Town F.C. not working

- Ensure long term future of Club just about

- Obtain and secure permanent home in Slough not working

How will it be achieved?

- Involvement with local companies not working

- Partner with local teams and clubs not working

- Support and sponsorship not working

- Increasing awareness of Slough Town F.C. not working

- Working with current owners not working

- Pressure on Slough Borough Council not working

- Ensure future is not dependent on individuals just about

- Involvement & support of Trust members not working

Whilst anyone can be critical about certain aspects of the Trust (and I could list several things I'd like to see done), many of the elements listed above have been achieved. You could point to the fact that the two important objectives haven't been (secure future and get a new home) but how much impact can a Trust with a couple of hundred members have in that respect? Especially when it's so hard to communicate with the people running the club.

Food for thought.
