aldershot on sat

the non league paper has carried an article about this sat's game. During their game with Daggers the shots fans made it into the away end causing 'some injuries'.

Calder has insited that there be a police presence at this game on sat in order to protect the billericay fans and george borg whose comments about a payment in a brown paper bag are being investigated (for the record Borg has done nothing wrong) by the FA.

sounds, erm, exciting?!

Load of fuss over nothing - the NLP going looking for a story imho - there's been a police presence at the game last couple of visits, which have passed off without incident. Seem to recall the Echo dragging up old history last time Aldersh*t came to New Lodge - again no major problems. Let's hope the same can be said on saturday.

Lets be fair. Aldershot are at the crest of a wave and we are...........(fill the blank). Despite last nights win, I think Aldershot are gonna have fun with us on Saturday if we don't get the tactics right. And if they do have fun with us, then where is the problem? We go home dispondent (again) after travelling halfway round the M25 (again).

I call on Mr. Calder and Mr. Borg to motivate (I use this word in the positive sense) what I think is a good squad of players to stop Aldershot right in their tracks!!! George, do it for revenge!!!

We always seem to head into Aldershot on the back of a few bad performances (I'm sure Simon can get the details) with everyone thinking we will get stuffed, then we pull out a good performance and get a result.

Its probably because the players shouldn't need motivating for a game like this, playing in front of 2,000 instead on 500.

Hmmmmmmmm

Form can be misleading in this fixture:

When we travelled there last september we had lost 2 and drawn 1 out of our previous 3 fixtures, whereas Aldershot had won 2 out of 3 (both 4-1 incidentally). When they came to us we had just turned in one of our worst performances of the season at Chesham losing 2-0. They had lost their previous 2 games on that occasion.

Recent form isn't much help this time round: Aldershot's home form has been nothing special but then neither has our recent away form.

Bizarrly this will be their first game against one of the current top 6, whereas it will be our 6th!

I do remember in previous BTFC visits to shots a very crude (mildest description I could think of) manager, name of George, getting the home crowd at it for the entire game

I sincerely trust that time has healed that awful dislike between shots and BTFC fans (note shots and BTFC not the other way round)

Suppose we could save them the trouble of misjudged throws and go and collect it from them ourselves !!!! - OR we could use that age old saying of "see a penny pick it up and all the day we will have good luck"

Let's hope for a top performance this week from the team - COME ON TOWN........

How do you know Borg is innocent? Were you there? Have you heard the evidence from the other side? I notice Calder was the Enfield manager then. No smoke without fire and Borg and Calder had the matches.

You lot will be badly let down by that man when the truth outs. Here's to a good game and no trouble.

Just reserve judgement on Borg until the whole truth has come out.

Don't know what the weather is like for you at the moment Per-Helge but over here it isn't exactly "Flag friendly" at the moment, and I don't think it is going to get any better.

You never know - the extra security at Aldershot may consider it an offensive weapon!!

How do you know that Borg is guilty? (I assume that's what you're implying) Were you there? The current situation concerning George Borg all happened at other clubs, not BTFC. I think you should stop worrying about Borg and look a little closer to home. The FA don't investigate clubs for nothing. Or do they?
