here's what I said after Haddow left so I'm not sure if it still applies (the post was made early February)

"you can't budget based on a cup run. Our cup runs this year have brought in (according to my figures) £113,000 (taking into account that there are seemingly no guidance for how Bryco cup gate money is shared) but when you take away refs costs (£1,800 not including costs of travel which have to be reimbursed), the cost of stewarding, cost of getting tickets printed, cost of policing and all the other bits and pieces it doesn't leave a lot.

the only other income we have if from shirt sponsorship and home gate recepts which at (rough guesses obviously) 21x300x7 (games x average attendance x full adult price) which gives us an additional £44,000 which is obviously subject to freebies, kids for a quid, program costs so I still think the club lost money.

You are dead right CPL, and when you add on the other major costs incurred - all the staff, including the team are paid wages and wages incur Tax and National Insurance, plus transport plus kit cleaning, plus the cost of running the Capital League side and you can quickly see how the losses recorded in the last published accounts were built up.

I said I would shut up on this issue, but we have no idea how these losses are to be met and therefore from where the £25k of rent is coming, let alone the costs of running the team. If the club will not tell us that it is there, how do we know if we have a club next season or not? It is almost as if they (the Top Management) enjoy watching us squirm, worrying if there will be a next season or not and let's face it, we have had enough scares over the last ten or however many years it is, not to be feeling overly confident that there will be. Which is why ...... No, I'll shut up!

Yes, it would be interesting to see if she has any hard evidence to back that up!

Further to this, the quote in another post from what Fiona said at the Slough candidates meeting was interesting, which I think was roughly "I am working with Mr Deaner to try and identify another site in the Borough....." Also Roy in the programme for the last home game said something on the lines of "Mr Deaner has personally assured me that he will be supporting the team for at least another season".

Anybody picked up any other clues? I really don't want another nailbiter up to the end of July and then hearing the Windsor Chairman has pulled the plug...... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" />
