Oh, by the way. John Farmer read from a national newspaper on Saturday that The Mighty saints are the highest scorers this season in the whole of Non League football. By about 8 goals from someoneoranother.

I know they have 56 in 23 league games but how many in total .....

 

... my under 17 City Youth side have 66 from 15 games so far this season .....

 

..... leading scorers ..... Chris Haslam 14 (is on Citys college course but plays midweek football for Colney Heath !!) followed by Adan Potter 13 (also plays midweek for Colney Heath !!) then Russell Gallagher 12 (played for Colney Heath reserves last season but is concentrating on his youth football this season) and then John Paton 8 (just signed to play midweek at London Colney)

 

Still some local talent around <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I don't know, do I? Ask John Farmer. He was reading the stats from the Telegraph or somewhere. Perhaps it was the top two tiers of the pyramid. Where are Winchester City from then? No, I realise that they are from Winchetser. I mean what League? If it's Division 8 of the Hampshire Weekly Advertiser, Sunday League, it probably doesn't count.

 

I don't know why I bother sometimes. [sigh.].

I won't be engaging Mr Farmer in conversation anytime soon. I'm just suggesting you mention Winchester City to him next time you're having a chat.

 

Wessex League. Do a "google" on "another". His site has a page with all the stats you could ever want.

 

Can I recommend that you print it all out and have it with you next time you are on the coach? Then when Mr F makes some statement regarding points, crowds, batting averages or whatever, you can instantly check it and challenge him if he is wrong.

Rob. It was on the way up. He was well behaved each way actually. No sign of the behaviour that apparently qualifies one for membership of the Supporters Club Committee. As a bit of a rebel, I was a little disappointed. Perhaps the other coach was the one for those who prefer to walk on the wild side?

 

I'll bear your suggestion in mind, Laz. If I fancy a lengthy discourse with Farmer, initial J. concerning the comparative goal differences of the various teams in levels 15-19 of the pyramid. It might be an idea to mention Winchester City by way of an ice-breaker in the meanwhile.

 

He appears to have forgotten the incident on the gate by the tea-bar for Gibbo's first match at the helm, by the way. He had probably forgotten it by half-time that evening, actually. 'Tired and emotional'.
