Dover game spoiled by Yobs.

Last night was a friendly.Iwent there to enjoy a game of football. I heard some muttered comments about Margate supporters parentage before the kick of from a handful of Chavs. As we walked from one end to the other and the differing supporters passed,we had comments of Margate Scum ,filth and [****!!****]. At the End of the game as we started to leave we were told they were waiting for us,they were going to do us,and we had a escort of around 20 odd chavvies out into the darkness. I would like to think with our stewarding at Margate this is not accuring,and away supporters are leaving Hartsdown feeling safe.

But nothing happened, did it? Sounds like typical teenagers – like to give it large but are only capable of dishing it out to 85-year-old grannies.

Teenagers only have a go when they are in a group. Get them alone or out of their environment and they suddenly remember how to behave... They mentally flail. Catch them off guard and their control goes.

Wit is a very good way of getting back at them. You have to be clever and your very right jkm, they can only work in a group! I work with difficult teenagers and believe me when I say they are all gob!! They hate eye contact too, just stare the little buggers out!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" />

It also helps a confrontation when you are 6'2" and 14 stone and have the confidence of Akido and arrest and retraint techniques.

Only threatened by a bunch of yobs once lads of 14 or 15, - at Fisher, I kept eye contact, broadened my stance and stood "big" in front of them - them watched them back off.

This is what happened but why should you have to at a friendly or any other game.

You shouldn't your right. Unfortunatly all the time these 'chavs' are being reproduced then you will always get this! Unless they are fitted with an 'anti-chav device' at birth the nation will still be seeing them outside the sweet shops in packs.

At the games the only solution I would seeis better stewarding or a dress code! No jogging bottoms tucked into socks allowed?! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/attentat.gif" alt="" />

Tar and brush, and all that? Not all teenagers are like that - it is wrong to generalise. By all means, complain about chavs - I cant stand them either, but to simply label all teenagers like that is unfair.

"Typical teenagers" was the expression used I believe. Therefore, you were talking about me as I AM a teenager, and it just annoys me when all teenagers are labelled as "troublemakers" (or whatever other names) because of the actions of a few.

I don't think your name was mentioned therefore it was not aimed at you. Teenagers are not all labelled that so don't take it personally.

Unfortuanatly it is the troublesome teens, like the ones mentioned, that give the good ones a bad name.

hear hear stokesie. It is a minority that gets the label slapped on the majority. Us Tories are the same. We get blamed for the minority of nutters in the Party who give us a bad name!

Thanks for the link Jeff. They need to get this sorted before it leads to real trouble.It seems the Dover fans are getting sick of it as well. I accept i am over weight,( Fat Margate B-----D, Fat old git)but its my problem and its not upto some young gentleman from Dover to it point out.
