Tamworth

Generally a bad day all round and I hope that Scott Cousings makes a speedy recovery.

I have to say that the attendance of 705 seems dodgy to say the least. Even the Tamworth fans were saying so. I know that the club has complained about the Wimbledon attendance but I think that we have even more reason to complain after Saturday. City had an excellent following, near enough 200 I would say and we should get a fair share of the gate receipt. Tamworth must have made a load of money on their FA Cup run anway.

We just didn't play on Saturday, and as Nos said elsewhere, a number of players let themselves down for this one. Bastock for the last 20 and Ben Lewis throughout more than earned their money.

Overshadowing the disappointment of defeat in the Trophy by a huge margin is the horrendous injury to Scott. Good luck to t'lad from me. Positive news soon, I hope.

It was interestsing to see the level of matchday organisation that is necessary to put on a match in front of 1000+ spectators. Well done, to Tamworth, and lessons for us.

Died I say 1000+? Yes, I see that I did.

Call me sad, but, out of curiousity, at 2.50 I counted our support behind the away goal. 130. I would say that there were as many at the opposite end and at least double that in the stand opposite the main stand. There were a lot of people in the main stand, but as I was one of them, I couldn't guess the numbers. There were several 'amused' comments from Tamworth fans around me when the attendance was announced.

From the programme, the only other occasion when Tamworth had less than 1000 in their ground this season, was on the last occasion they played in the F.A Cup against Altrincham. They can't look forward to these games in view of the disappointing attendances.

Hmmnn. I suggest that all we will get from any challenge to AFC Wimbledon or Tamworth is a legal bill, Rob.

If only we had a light-hearted tannoy man. At the next cup game at home, we could encourage him to announce that the attendance today was 2, thank you both for coming and we will be sending the visiting club an invoice for 50% of the matchday expenses less £6 as the only two who paid were concessions.

Everybody seems to be doing it. No way was there 500 odd at our game on Saturday. Salisbury alledgedly took 300 supporters. The attendance was crap but pretty sure they didn't outnumber us.

Happy birthday Laz.

I would say there was 850-900 there. I hope Scott Cousins makes a quick recovery but i would have thought he will be out for ages. I saw his leg after the incident and i have to say it was worse than Bussts from coventry. Thanks for coming to the Lamb and good luck for the rest of the season
