On behalf of all of us who went to Canvey yesterday I would like to extend the supporters thanks to the two lovely ladies in the 'away bar' who were friendly, helpful and served the Army everytime a glass went down.

 

Thanks to the two police officers who when approached by myself at half time made arrangemnets for the Army to be able to get under cover so we can make our passion heard around the ground. Essex police can be proud of their two lads who were friendly and very profesional at all times.

 

Thanks to all the stewards at Canvey who had a laugh and at no time displayed any sort of attitude, other than freindly and professional, throughout the game and afterwards as we made our way out of the ground.

 

Thanks to the Canvey supporters who, despite being on the losing side, were wishing us good luck in the next round.

 

ThanKs to the boys on the pitch and Nick and the coaching staff for a profesional and hardworking display.

 

A big thanks to Lynne and Martin for orgainsing the coaches and to Sumo and the other drivers who took mini buses to the match. To the White Army who used the train,

 

AND TO EVERYONE WHO WENT TO THE ISLAND TO WITNESS ONE OF THE BIGGEST VICTORIES IN THE CLUBS HISTORY.

In all fairness the club nearly folded in 2002. You can't blame them for feeling ecstatic after a victory like that!!

It's great to hear things like from rival fans. Knowing that so many of them travelled to see that match was the one bright note from our perspective, as far as I can see. If it wasn't for those fans, may our attendance have been around 300?

Salisbury are at home to Stalybridge in the next round. A potentially winnable game. Good luck to them!!

Good luck to Salisbury. They are obviously a very well run club (off and on the field) and would love to see them win it now to be honest.
