does anyone think it is harsh,it may be my anti chelsea biased coming out but having been booked he scores and jumps over the barrier straight into the crowd

after what happened at charlton v man utd when horse face nistelrooy jumped into the man utd fans and some stewardess got assaulted i think the ref got it right!!

yet another angle on this sending off,the front where all the chelsea fans rushed to is the disabled area,this caused upto 50 fans to rush down and try to congratulate robben,possibly knocking into people

i am anti chelsea,so i may be biased,but if someone had got hurt then people would say why he had to jump over!!

wasn't debating the first yellow,that wasn't worth one,anyone could see that but he got booked and is then on a tight rope,i just can't see why players have to jump over things to get to the fans!

we all know football has changed and after the charlton man utd game the fa said they didn't want this sort of thing happening again,its not the first time this season someone has been booked for it!!

yeah but your fans run to you when they score important goals...remember vinnies goal against darlo...he jumped over the tunnel end stand and got amongst the fans and they loved him for it....he didn't get booked tho and nor should have he had done...

in a perfect world i don't have a problem with players running to the crowd

but because of the charlton man utd game the fa said they didn't want it happening,and all the clubs know that,by the letter of the law the ref probably thought he was right!!

we can blame man utd if we want!!!

according to the rules of the game (which are very much ambiguous and in the hands of the ref) he didn't need to go as he wasn't inflamming oppo fans nor creating a dangerous situation...the ref weas a fckn tossa in my opinion....

I think u will find it was a FIFA thingy...still a shame though. We had a classic at Worthing during a midweek game back in 98. Troy Braham scored our fourth, done his usual back flip and came to the crowd and ended up behind the goal. We all grabbed him and tried to run him out of the ground..the officials were none too impressed!

Yep Arlesey, ref was a plonker, apologised to me afew months later but said he had to do his job!
