We won at Maldon Town tonight 5-0 With pretty much a full strength side, which included, Ross Smith, Scott Gooding, Jacko, Steve McKimm, Slatter, Hodgson and Luke Moore. Drury and Bowry came on as subs.

 

Goals came from Moore, Darvil, Drury, Ross Smith (I think) and a great lob from Our left midfielder who they kept calling Ash. Not quite sure who he was.

 

A good game and convincing performance.

Good to see Steve Mckimm back in action - did he play the full 90? How did he do?

 

I guess it was only really Ross and Slatts who are regular 1st teamers - the others are more "fringe" for want of a better phrase (in the sense that they have all been in and out of the 1st team this year) except of course, the 2 who came on as subs.

 

Have to say it should have been a convincing performance against a lower league side, who have been beaten in all but 1 (or 2?) of their Capital League games, with a strong team out.

Steve played about 60 mins. He played pretty good considering he's been out for so long.

I think Kimble tried to put out a stronger squad to try and regain some confidence in the squad by getting back to winning ways.

Obviously "Ash" was Ashley Fuller who we've now signed. A goalscoring midfielder - we certainly need all the goalscoring backup we can get for Charlie!
