We get some real w&nkers at Park Lane

Why pay £11.50 to get in then spend the game slagging of your own players, there is a little group behind the goal again, Danny made a mistake, some numpty has a dig.

Danny is put off for the rest of the game, if you read this go and support Sarfend.

Little group think they know what they are talking about and know bugger all about football.

Maybe we should get the drums behind our defence and cheer them on, if I was a defender/goalie my confidence would take a knock listening to that lot.

The stewards know who they are and from what I heard something is likely to be done.

Stewards, or Thought Police?

Has censorship at Park Lane reached a new height? Criticism is now banned if it is aimed at the home side but foul and abusive language is OK if it is aimed at the opposition or the officials? There is already a sprinkling of Jeff's goons up on the terrace mingling and listening for possible mutineers.

It's a pretty small club if there is only room for one opinion.

Merv

Critics are welcome, people putting off their own players, enough to effect the game should go somewhere else.

I am one for freedom of speech but with free speech comes responsibilty. We have a happy club why let people spoil it.

Really? Do you know this for a fact then? What action are they to take if they hear a dissenting voice on the terrace? Out of the ground and never to return or something more sinister? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I've defended freedom of speech here before, but today I think I understand what you say. I was at the front, slightly on the clubhouse side of the goal, and this group was behind me. They didn't stop. One bloke, an old chap (perhaps the bloke Danny had a go at before) slagged Danny and the team off repeatedly, and when the ref blew the whistle. Danny turned and looked at him, as did the rest of us, but restrained himself.

To be honest, even I thought it was over the top. The lads knew it wasn't hanging together but this joker and his mates were something else.

They continued in the second half, and I just can't understand it. Okay, a bit of constructive criticism, but to repeatedly shout "that wa sh**e" helps no-one.

Apart from that, salisabury played to their strengths, denied us time on the ball and deserved their victory. Well done!

as part of the yellow army i understand your case in point for us to stand behind the goal but the acoustics in the bus shelter are 100% better i can understand after performances such as todays why people get upset but if we are not getting behind our team then we are hampering them. some players take constructive cricism well but there is a difference between that and abuse which i believe some of the plonkers behind the goal are guilty of.

That's not quite true. The bus shelter shape serves to keep most of the noise IN. To you, standing in the shelter, it must be deafening. But outside the shelter it doesn't always sound as loud as you think.

Anyway. no matter where you stand, keep it going. I think you have transformed the atmosphere at Park Lane and if I were 100 years younger I would come and join you.

I am on the Vody tonight, thought I would give it a change.

Yellow Bungle

I was directly behind them and what you said was exactly it, looked like Kingys ugly bigger cousin and a few mates, Dannys look said it all.

I reckon we should surround that area with drums so they can shout all they like but they will be drowned out.

Do these lot go week in week out and attend reserve games as well? Have a feeling I know who they are.
