That's our season over then

Recommended Posts

Just a thought.

Lots of us happily do shift work.

It suits our lifestyle, and gives us plenty of opportunities to spend extra quality time with our families.

For others it simply goes with the job and is endured.

Why can't the full time staff train in the evenings on the 2 or three nights a week the part timers are there.

Full time football training does not have to be between 10am and 3pm weekdays. If people don't like working/training evenings, tough.

Live with it.

To be fair to Craig other than the third goal he was one of the few players who didn't have a bad game.

There wasn't a lot that he could do about it, under pressure from Archer the ball bobbled on the dodgy pitch (which was shocking by the way), and went under his foot.

Also, it was Ross who gave away the penalty, allowed the player to get goal side of him.

and its only five points to York......

Saturday was rather crap, and considering I paid £30 for a train, on a journey that took me 3 hours, and £10 to get in it was the worst game for me this season.

My highlights of yesterday was that bloke who threw his top down at being sent off. Brilliant!!

My thanks goes to those who shouted the abuse at the players... In such a ground I know they could hear every word and Im sure it really helped them.

Anyway to conclude, we are 10th, we were not the only side to lose to a lower division team. We will be back

Up the fleet

Realistically, a 10th place finish, out of the FA Cup in the qualifying round, out of the FA trophy at the second round, falling attendances, loss of our main sponsor for next season - doesn't auger well, nor can this year be considered anywhere near a success so far.
Only by hammering a few teams - Canvey, Grays and Woking could do with stuffing, can the team restore some credibility with the fans.

I simply could not believe some of the reactionary s*** that was spouted by some of our 'fans' on Saturday. It was pathetic. Yes we played below par and we lost to a lower league team. It happens. Deal with it. We are on a good run of form in the league at the moment, are sitting comfortably in mid table with a decent outside chance of getting into the playoffs with a good run of results. This is our first season with full time players and we have the strongest squad I think the clubs ever had and I think the future looks quite rosy.

I was outraged at some of the abuse being thrown at Omari Coleman which at times bordered on racist from certain people stood near me. I was also shocked to hear people who I believed were diehard fans right at the centre of the club berating Daish as a result of one performance.

This game was Borehamwoods cup final and they played out of their skins, chasing everything, and got what they deserved. They had some very good looking players (the number 11, who's name eludes me) but also had a fair bit of luck with the penalty (what I could see of it) and with Craigs uncharacteristic air kick. There is nothing Daish can do about things like that! It happens! On another day it wouldn't have happened, Charlie's shot onto the post would have gone in and it would have been a different result.

There are certain fans out there who need to grow up, get behind the team, and come to terms with the fact that we are not going to win every week. If you want that then p*** off and support Chelsea because frankly I think the club is better off without you!

Daish has built quite a strong squad and has them playing some nice football in spells. The team is moving in the right direction and I for one support him fully. I'm sure I'm not alone.

No one is arguing that Pogo.

What some (if not most) of us find dissapointing is the apparent lack of progress in finding a suitable strike partner for Charlie.

Liam has waxed lyrical about how much he rates Luke Moore.

So much he has given hin 1 league start this season.

Is is all well and good have shedloads of defenders, (so many that we can afford to let 2 go on loan) but at the end of the day if your 2nd leading scorer at after 20 odd games is a midfielder with 3 goals, then something is clearly wrong.

It is easy to say players are not available.

Tosh.

They are but have either not been approached or simply do not want to come here for whatever reason.

Exciting strikers who score lots of goals bring in the crowds, not monster defenders like Matt Redmile.

We have little evidence that much has been done to seek out that elusive extra striker. Perhaps in hindsight would shouldn't have been so hasty in losing the services of Manny and Kim Grant

Interesting how some people still believe that Daish is a good manager.

The chairman is obviously well pleased with him and our first half performance on Saturday, because when he strangely came to mingle with us idiots in after halftime he was smiling like a cheshire cat (why we asked him and never got a reply)

However, the truth is we are playing such unattractive football under Daish that the crowds are getting lower by the week and we are now knocked out of the only thing left for us this season.

It was amazing that in his post match interview that he pointed to individual errors and being dozy at teh back for our loss.

Nothing to do with us playing without any method, any pattern, any game plan (unless you call pumping high balls up to our very talented but small Charlie)I guess !

The bloke is on another planet.

The real danger, RR, is not that people just moan about being knocked out early from 2 important and lucrative cups, nor being asked to fork out an extra 2 pounds to watch Conference standard players being asked to play Rymans football, but they will make they protests by staying away.

I guess we will hard pressed to get 900 on Friday, especially as Canvey's away following will hardly have an appetite to travel over the Dartford Bridge at 6.30 on a Friday night!

Yes - great planning that wasn't it !

To be honest I think we will be lucky to get 900, not many people I spoke to on saturday at Borehamwood will be coming by choice and others will have the problem of the Friday night traffic which as all us locals knows gridlocks North Kent/M25 etc from about 3.30pm until about 9pm.

I very much doubt if I will be turning up.

I wonder whether Daishy will at least have learnt on Saturday that he'd be better off starting with Jacko (a player who can pass the ball) and Luke Moore rather this collection of uncommitted guys like Hodgson (a player who can't pass the ball) and Coleman (a player who can't head, pass nor control the ball and has no pace nor goalscoring ability) etc.

The gates are going to plummit

I had the misfortune to go to Lakeside a couple of weeks ago on a Friday evening. Total gridlock both through the pipes and over the bridge. The approaches were worse. Solid from the A226 near Bluewater to the tunnel - took me 1 hour 20 minutes, with no prospect of turning around as traffic was equally busy.

I would reccomend an early start for those planning to attend.

If Saturday was unpopular , why not try a Sunday?
