GM,RJS, whatever you are. Personallly, I think that the changes to the board over the last year in the way of passwords has meant a lower number of posters than there was say a year ago. Have you ever thought however that your style of basically slagging everything Canvey has led to less postings on here. Some people just cannot be bothered to contribute to the board anymore because the same old tune keeps being played and becomes very boring. I tell you what, leave this board alone for say a year or two and see what happens in the way of more postings and football talk. After all, that’s what’s it’s all about..

Phil old boy, this is the first time I've been on here in ages, prior to George coming on as Bald Eagle said there had been no postings for two days, now they're flooding in, rather proves the point I'd say. I also notice that when Colin Zeal gets bored and stops coming on here postings drop dramatically. Well I've had my say for now though I am looking forward to reading Merv's reply to the points I've made, oh and I wonder if he ever did find his way to Slough, he seemed rather confused as to how to get there, obviously doesn't go to many away games, well I won't hold my breath waiting for his reply as I said he'll probably crawl back into the woodwork, strange for somebody who claims to be in favour of healthy debate!

Who cares about quantity, it’s quality that counts and again what are all your posts about, nothing that really matters again or stuff we have read countless times before. Go on all of you, just stop posting on here, we would quite welcome that. You have just stated that the Canvey board cannot do without you for it’s existence, so let’s put it to the test.

Nope, sorry mate I for one will not stop posting on your or anyone elses site for that matter. We are all non-league fanatics, if we wern't we wouldn't be here. And you talk of quality, well lets be honest, none of our teams play 'world class' footy it's all about having a bit of fun, hoping that every now and again we attract a couple of thousand to a game and remaining loyal to your towns.......or am I completely misunderstanding the whole non-league set up that I love so much???????

So you can take your 'test' and shove it where the sun don't shine.......(lewes on cold tuesday nights... )

My goodness, I'm away from the office for a few hours and, wow! they're all at it. Keep it coming guys. Some of your postings are almost funny. The clever ones have brought a smile to my face. The educated ones have made me laugh. That's what I enjoy, the banter of the discussion boards.

As for Rotten George's Johnny, I put you to bed last year (when you were masquerading as John Crawshaw) with my little piece on doing a precis to reduce all your drivelings to a single word. From memory the word began with B and ended with cks. Do a search for 'precis' if anyone else wants to read it. Think I tucked you up nicely on that one even though you are now renouncing the name of which you were once proud. I then decided I wouldn't respond to any more of your postings. Earlier this season, once the penny dropped that all three of you were, in fact, the same person I decided to drop all one/three of you altogether. I toyed with you for a while but whereas it's fun for Manchester United to play Croyden once in a while, every week would get a bit boring.

While we are on speaking terms however, I will point out that I did get to Slough (wish I hadn't now, we were dire) but my request for local knowledge of the best route was a sincere one. Any idiot could have said, "M4 off at Junction 5, etc. etc." In fact you did, with your RJS hat on. What I asked for was local knowledge and was pleased to receive a private email from a Slough fan who, with the benefit of local knowledge, recommended us to go by what seemed a much quicker route using M25 and then M40 for one junction and then the A412, arriving at the ground from the north. We followed this route and got there long before some other supporters who got gridlocked on the M4 (nasty accident that day) and wasted valuable drinking time. But you obviously had fun in your padded cell putting the message about that Vic and Merv couldn't read a map. Even I laughed at first but your big failing as a wit is that you do tend to go on and on and on...

You refer to pots calling kettles. On yer bike. You may be a pot (well, Gravesend fans have to pi$$ somewhere) but at least I'm a kettle with one identity.

Now go back to your Kent County library and while away the rest of the afternoon. But when the children come out of school, it might be polite to move out of that part of the library and see if you can mingle with some of th grown-ups. All three of you.

Like I said the only time this board livens up is when the non Canvey fans appear on it.

Well it doesn't take too much working out that I did indeed used to be John Crawshaw, you know the one you were asking to come back on the FA Trophy thread, oh and I agree with Bald Eagle about your team being poo! However as I've already made clear I have no connection with George Manning. As for tucking me up nicely, I'll have to ask a medical expert to translate that into English for me, and which name am I renouncing? And for goodness sake learn how to spell Croydon, presumably you've never been there either? As for directions to Slough, another place where you've obviously never been unfortunatly I didn't have my crystal ball that day or I'd have known there would be prang on the M4, as for alternate routes ever tried looking at a map?

I do indeed refer to pots and kettles, it was you who resorted to petty insults on the FA Trophy thread and got it closed, now if you'll excuse me I do have more intresting things to do I'm off to watch some paint dry and if you've managed to bore the other non Canvey fans on here into submission the board can go back to one posting every few days.

Gosh, silly old me. I seem to have got it wrong yet again. What a duffer I am.

Sorry John for any misunderstanding - I bow to your superior understanding of the situation. I feel terribly guilty if I am the one who has depressed you to the state of wanting to watch paint dry (three Hail Mary's for me!). I'm sure life can't be that bad on the other side of the river.

Hopefully, tomorrow's results will give us both something to cheer about.
