I remember Steve Perryman had just broken into the Spurs first team and was being a bit too flashy, taking on Davie Houston once too many times. I remember the St Johns' ambulence men carrying him off, he never played again that season. Problem was, they scored their first goal direct from the free kick and after that the floodgates opened ...

 

I'd only been supporting us for a couple of seasons then (I was 12) and had come to assume that us reaching the FA Cup proper each season was a certainty. Here's to those days returning.

do you remember EE the free kick was a very soft one i thought it was not even a free kick and was very disappointed it was given. we had held our own till then and six nil really flattered them. With no segregation all the spurs fans got amonst the gate ones and there was very little fervant support. that was my biggest memory. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Im glad i was not alive then as i would not know who to support as i am a big spurs fan and a big Margate fan.

As I mentioned a few days ago. Let's hope it's not too long before we appear in the FA cup R3. If Burton, Northwich and our friends atNuneaton Borough can do, then we can.
