[Margate Football Club]

As previously reported Chris Kinnear has nom completed the loan signing of Billy McMahon, a goalkeeper from Thurrock. Unfortunately, Paul Egan has not been able to train this week due to back problems.

 

Gavin McGowan has been released by the Club.

 

It is unlikely now that further additions to the squad will be confirmed this week but your Manager continues his negotiations with a number of Players/Clubs and any progress will be reported here.

I'd have thought Gavin must have found last week hard to take - Alex going straight into the team in front of him. Probably the final straw having been on the bench for weeks. Thought he was possibly our best midfielder and sorry to see him go, don't understand why he wasn't a fixture in the side but there you go.

It is a shame i think he is better than alexis. Maybe he just didnt fit in.

I agree with you entirely Jeff. Alex is not good enough, but Gavin was OK at this level. I am very disappointed by these two decisions.

I thought Alex played well today. Ran his balls off and made some nice passes. He brought us WORK RATE which was first class. Better than others who have played in midfield this year so a step in the right direction.

[color:"blue"]Are you sure GW? I agree about his workrate, but his final touch leaves a lot to be desired. He's also quite easily dispossessed - Pat should start in his place next week.

Pat is a better player I do agree and I hope he starts next week, but Alex has the legs so Id like to see him again. We have lacked work rate due to some very inadequate midfielders which are almost gone thankfully.

Amazing that McGowan is released and Shambles gets in the team.

 

Such an unbelievable decision did seriously make me question my loyalty but you follow a team and not a player or manager

 

I have to admit that Charamb played better yesterday than most games last season,but that does not take alot of doing.

Forget all the excuses about out of postion-you can still display basic ability if you have it

 

Do not forget that it was one of his many mis-placed passes that resulted in our loss of possession and conceding the vital first goal yesterday.

The guy has no close control ,tackling ability whatsoever,and can't find his own players with passes.

A twelve year old has energy so does that make him worthy of a place in the team.

Complealy agree with MM McGowan>Alexis no contest, McGowan had a few dodgy games to start but with the exception of Brayley he was the strongest of all the other midfielders so far this season including Hasim Deen.

 

Hopefully with pat's forced apearence we wont get to see much of the alexis circus act but somehow i doubt it, CK can see something in alexis football that alot of people dont.

 

I dont mean to be so harsh on alexis but he really doesnt bring much to the team, he does cover alot of ground and he can produce the odd pass of quality, but he gives the ball away far two much perhaps he just needs to slow down his game a little.

 

He is a player that would benfit from a reserve team as Ck could mould him in to the sort of player he thinks he is, but all i see him as at the moment is some one takeing up a starting spot over players who are/were better then him ie. Mcgowan.
