Does anyone remember the film Yesterdays Hero ?

A film back in the late 70's early 80's ?

I believe it was filmed at Windsors ground and included some of the then palyers and Management.

 

An awful film I recall but can't remember the details of the links (if any) to Windsor FC

It starred Ian MacShane [later of Lovejoy fame] and there was no link other than the fact they hired the ground for filming as did the producers of 'Soldier Soldier' in more recent years [mid-90's] which featured in two episodes which, ironically, were nothing to do with football!

...strange I thought that there some scenes of the team training that included Brian Caterer and Colin Lippiatt `in the background'...maybe my memory is incorrect.

I didn't say they weren't there I just said there was no link as such with the club!

Football scenes were filmed at a more successful club a few miles along the A308.
