Exactly. I think we will definatly get someone in.
Someone I work with lives down the road from Mr Varney (Charlton Chairman) and he seem too think that James Walker, a reserve for Charlton, could be on his way to Gravesend. Whether or not this is a loan I don't know but he is still a good player and has already scored 11 goals for Charlton Reserves this season.

Gravesend Messenger:

Stiker Onome Sodje has played his last game for Gravesend following his recall by Premier neighbours Charlton.

The quicksilver 17-year-old, who created a big impact after joining the Fleet on a season-long work experience, returned to The Valley last month to prepare for an FA Youth Cup tie and has not been available since.

Manager Liam Daish explained:

'I gather that Onome picked up an injury. His last game for us was at Kettering. Since then we went on a run and he couldn't get back into the starting line-up. I haven't seen or heard from him for a while. I gather he could join Welling when he's fit."

Seems that all of a sudden, the information is flooding out via every avenue possible.

This seems somewhat implausible, given that Sodje's form prior to Kettering was largely very impressive, and certainly more so than that of either Jukebox, Luke Moore or Coleman up front.

In radio comments at the time, it appeared as if Liam had somehow got the hump with Sodje. After throwing him in at the deep end things then changed to him not even being allowed into the shallows! Fair enough if Charlton now want to keep him, but I can't see the player benefiting from being loaned out to a team in a lower division than ours when he has already proved he can cope with life in the Conference. It seems that we must pray that Charlie can stay injury free to the end of the season. A lot rests on his shoulders.

He joined Hartlepool on loan earler this month.
