could we miss 20 chances and have to wait 20 minutes to find a replacement lino after one had crocked himself.....

 

a good urchins performance for 20 minutes when we could have been five up and were only one in front after a ricky burbridge volley.....a good one as always.....

 

the 3-4-3 line up worked well in patches and some quality urchin attacking play fed the imagination but never materialised into goals.....

 

as always the oppo had their chance and into the night sky it went after a slip up at the back of the urchins defence.....just as well as a draw would have bought extra time and even pens........but 1-0 it was and onwards to the semi against.....errr.....

well done the players and the fans on a cold night at the bridge....

wasn't like that actually LW...it was all urchins but of course in 90 mins you always get a couple of oppo chances....

 

nah...in truth we never looked uncomfortable but footie is a funny old game...only takes a second to score a goal....and missed chances tend to bite you...

Decent performance even though we were over elaborate in front of goal, seems to me that one or two of the lads were afraid to have a crack.

 

We totally dominated, their keeper played well and their number 3 was candidate for next years panto at the Queens.

 

Stars for us, Tiffin, as usual Holland, Thomas and Golby. We must have fielded the largest number of left footed players of any team since the 1973 Long john silver left sided 11 played the parrots of penzance.

 

All in all good stuff, APSA seem a decent bunch and let's hope we avoid Tilburs in the next round.

be nice to play the rambling lunatics at their own ground in the final so I'll take tilbury in the semi....sniffington are the better side and the hunsters old legs will buckle under a full first team urchin onslaught....
