On a charge means that they won their last game at Corby! Really! What are they now on having won two games out of two?

You seem to be looking solely at results rather than performances. We had been very unlucky to lose on more than one occasion leading up to the Corby game and all that has happened is that we have started producing the results to match the performances.

Apart from a couple of hiccups, we have been playing well for quite a while and, now that we have started to win games, I think it is a fair call to describe us as being "on a charge".

Good shout, Softie!

I make you right there PBTFC, the corner has now been turned.

The turn of the year means a turn of Fortune lets hope for their sake we havent instigated their slide to mid table.

We could meet them about May sometime. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/busted.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/ban.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/arrr.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

I thought it was because the Referee was wearing his football League kit & not the Southern League one, surely that can't be right???.

Well said that man!!!
I thought it a disgrace that the ref turned out in a kit, apparently relating to his duties with fairground football that, IMHO, was totally inappropriate to REAL football at our level.

Derek, as the referee lives in the next street to me, let me know when you are due to have him again and I will put 10 minutes aside to pop round and politely make him aware of your concerns regarding the appropriateness of his appearance.

Softie, unlike Wroxham the referee didn't do anything that altered the result on Tuesday. He was rather more lenient that he probably should have been but I thought he was equally lenient to both sides. He also awarded you a penalty - but then most referees do!

That's because our players are total innocents who get brutalised by vicious opposition thugs!!!

Thanks Kevin.
Unfortunately, I don't get to see which officials are scheduled to officiate until I read it in the programme. By that time, perhaps, it would be too late.

Arguably, the blatant penalty at 1-0 (Trevor Paul prevented from shooting by means of a bear hug from behind) that wasn't given might just have had an effect - particularly as you got your second goal within a minute.

Lets get serious. It was a disaster last night.Even though Richard Howard is a natural goalscorer,he is not the quickest, but we let him run free on goal coutless times in the first half. How was he allowed 20 yards of space each time he received the ball? Why didn't our central defenders just bloody stick close to him? Chopper is also going through his first bad spell between the sticks since our formation.(Two poor dispalys in a row is unheard of for Chopper).

Was Woodward fit? If so, why wasn't he playing.I would have him in ahead of Magona.Negus must start in midfield on saturday.

Our forwards have got to be stronger and more clinical in front of goal.

Any half decent park side would have been able to cope with Potters bars solitary tactic of hit long angled balls over the top.Holding a line much deeper,on the edge of the box, would have totally nullified their threat. We looked a mess in midfield with the combination ofBaldwin ,campbell, and velendia not working at all.Why didn't we just stick to the winning side that played against Harlow.Just swap Matty for the suspended Rudi..............

Hopefully this is the wake-up call we need, in order to put the basics right................

until recently you have made a fair bit of sense, recently you have lost the plot...............

I am so glad JC and Co pick the team and not you

According to the Gazette, Morgan had the flu, and Woodward's little 'un was unwell. Don't think we qould have fielded a stronger side on the night, but you are always going to be up against it when:

a) You defend like that for half an hour, and

B) Eight or nine of the side choose the same day to have bad games
