Unlucky ETFC, your brillant run had to come to a end but bloody hell! 4 goals in the first half hour?? Potters Bar held us to a draw aswell!!

Well you have got another chance to extend the grap between us on saturday as we have got Gravesend & Northfleet in the fa trophy.

Im sure last night was just a blip for you and your be back to winning ways on saturday! Also would like to congratulate you on your home but specially on your away support. Your a credit to the league and to yourself and looking forward to you coming to Meadow Park

All good things must come to an end at some stage but what was depressing was the manner in which the run of away games without defeat hit the rails.

The defence looked as though they had never played on a pitch, never mind played together before and left Andy H with at least 5 one on ones with an attacker, three of which were converted. Did we believe that all we had to do was turn up to win? There did not appear to be any shape within the defence which was pulled all over the place.

We cannot blame the pitch as both teams had to play on it. We cannot blame the refereee who looked as though he did not want to book anyone, even if they swore at him. The blame lies with the team.

I believe the second half was not that much better than the first with chances still going to PBT. Yes we did create more chances but we always looked vulnerable to the counter attack.

I am wondering how Dean feels this morning knowing full well that we are 4 -1 down, a substitution is made, and we put a defender on to play up front! Words fail me.

Good to see a Wood supporter giving credit where credit is due.

I reckon the league is yours now so it looks like a two horse race between us and Corby for the second automatic promotion place.

Looking forward to our visit to Meadow Park.

Lets get serious. It was a disaster last night.Even though Richard Howard is a natural goalscorer,he is not the quickest, but we let him run free on goal coutless times in the first half. How was he allowed 20 yards of space each time he received the ball? Why didn't our central defenders just bloody stick close to him? Chopper is also going through his first bad spell between the sticks since our formation.(Two poor dispalys in a row is unheard of for Chopper).

Was Woodward fit? If so, why wasn't he playing.I would have him in ahead of Magona.Negus must start in midfield on saturday.

Our forwards have got to be stronger and more clinical in front of goal.

Any half decent park side would have been able to cope with Potters bars solitary tactic of hit long angled balls over the top.Holding a line much deeper,on the edge of the box, would have totally nullified their threat. We looked a mess in midfield with the combination ofBaldwin ,campbell, and velendia not working at all.Why didn't we just stick to the winning side that played against Harlow.Just swap Matty for the suspended Rudi.To many palyer playing out of position again. The forward line continue to frustrate. The talents there, but bad discision making and lack of strengh in holding defenders off or getting to the ball first, is infuriating to watch.

Hopefully this is the wake-up call we need, in order to put the basics right. To go a whole year unbeaten away was a phenominal achievemnet, and so is being top,but having such a poor home record and losing to the bottom two sides is worrying and needs analysing.

Reading some of your comments makes me think that maybe your being very harsh on your team. It sounds like your team didnt show up last night for the first 30 mins or so, but it must be hard being in there boots. You have been destroying teams week in week out for a while now and in my experience its hard to keep your feet on the ground? Right or wrong ?? I would just put it down to a minor fault which will be fixed and will probably make you come back even stronger!!

When i looked at the week ahead fixtures on monday and i see you where playing twice without us, i was worried because i could see you winning both games and opening up a 7 point gap and us finding that hard to shut.

I wudnt rule out anything at this stage in the season.

I think we will no alot more after our meeting on feb 11th, because before our game you have Rothwell (H), Corby (A), Aveley (H), Waltham Forest (A).

And we have Rothwell (A), Barking (A), Waltham Forest (H),Arsley (A), Sittingbourne (H)

Aswell as Saturday against Gravesend, and if theres any replays?? Which i suppose you hope we either win or draw ( Another game to fit in )

In those games before us you have two very tricky away games, and we have 3 away games and waltham forest at home! So i think there will be some change aroung the top before our game!!

If waltham forest beat us both then there right back aswell.

Also Mr Happy, i gave you credit because i think ETFC really deserve it. Because you have just come up and set the standard for other teams supporters to follow there team.

Our support has gradually gone up but is still low.

Well done and i hope us and urself have a good finish to the season good luck

Ideally you'd progress to the final by winning a replay in every round <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You are partially right there. The bright yellow shirts clearly did make the floodlighting even brighter. Can we go back to red and black PLEASE!!!!!

But your red & black kit isn't registered with the Southern League so, technically, it is an offence to wear it for League matches. According to the League Handbook, you either wear white or you wear yellow. That's it!
