I remember at the away game, in the second half, there was still a 'Staines Massive' flag (thats actually what it said!) up at the end where the Gate contingent were standing. Naturally, we took it down. Then we got a group of teenagers come along, pick it up and state "We don't want any trouble". Could not help but laugh as they then marched off singing "We are the Staines". Good times!

"Omo" these jokes are getting worse so I "Pledge" to put a (Mr.) "Sheen" back on them. I'm going in the stand on Saturday for an "Arial" view and I hope our players don't "Dreft" out of position too much and that the ball does'nt "Bounce" out of the ground too many times. You lot better "polish" up your acts to make as many "Bold" and "Daz"ling jokes as me although you can tell I've got nothing better to do than "Surf" the net all day. If you don't like it I suppose that's "Fairy" nuff.

Never thought that Richard could be replaced but I love Countdown with Des. The flirting with Carol is well good.

Anyway, back to the thread-good to see CK has been "scouring" around for players.

We'll have no problem with Staines as I'm taking the missus to the game and she's a right scrubber.

I think it wil be 4-2 to Staines.

 

We have all got excited about the attack this week, but despite our goals conceded column being good, from start of season i felt defence was weakish and lately ,we are now starting to concede2/3 per game .

That becomes a habit that is hard to break

 

I think the defence is being increasingly 'found out' and Staines may be the team to really show us up at the back.

If i remember rightly, they are quit strong and tall up front so will expose our aerial weaknesses

well i was wrong about the aerial weakness-they did not have to try.

 

The best thing is that CK has maybe finally clicked that the defnce is rubbish-no pace since Ryan went.

 

No leadership in defence-JK shouts but does not 'lead'.

Edwards strolls around and never 'attacks the ball.

 

JK and Edwards are not defenders.Either can do a sweepers job if we must play 5 or 3 at back but you can't play Keister and Edwards in the same team.

 

At least Kola attacks the ball and is enthusiastic,albeit a bit reckless at times(but so was Sam Sodge especially to start with

Michael, I'm a bit concerned about Bill too. He doesn't seem too comfortable at the moment. Whether that's to do with the lack of quality alongside him at the back I don't know. He does look threatening going forward though.

 

I'm glad CK has picked up on the problems at the back and the lack of a character.
