Halifax vs Gravesend latest.....

I think the problem is that although we are the seconed top scorers in the division our ratio of goals scored against chances created is still poor. The comments about us needing a proven goalscorer stem from the number of chances that go begging in most games. I agree that it's a bit harsh on a player like Che who has a good goals per game tally, but overall, it's the chances we miss that will cost us points this season.

As we have just seen with Kwashi if any individual plays " too " well we stand a good chance of losing them. I am sure that there are plenty of clubs who would love to have Che in their side.

Its pretty rare to get a Jimmy Jackson who will play for you 400 times and pick up 200 man of the match awards.

We have been very unlucky with injuries but as long as the players on the pitch give 100% then thats all anyone can expect. I also think that while it would be nice to have a Portway who can bang in shedloads of goals sometimes that can upset the team spirit of everyone trying for each other with no prima donnas which Andy has built into the side.

I think we have had a great season so far. To be 13th in the league after so many injuries is a real success story. We can always say we need a new striker, new midfielder, new defender and we probably do but we're not going to be able to compete with over half of these clubs in this league as has been mentioned time and time again. If we have a spare amount of cash around we could do worse than stick Andy on a full time managers contract. This man is a quality manager. Scarboro have just signed David Holdsworth from Bolton. Can u imagine us going out and signing somebody who turns down Sheff Weds and Brighton like he has. I thought last year we overachieved as a team. This year is about consolidation. 4th from bottom suits me fine. Has Warren Williams turned up anywhere?
