Thanks for that, they look interesting. Can put a team to most of the shirts though. That Blue & White looks smart, shame we'd lose money for the club if we had that for an away kit though.

Why would we lose money? We would sell just as many of them (if not more) ,than we did the red & Black.

 

 

PS.. The only kits on that page that resemble other non-league teams are the light blue and the yellow.Don't forget that each shirt is available in 19 colours with 19 trim combinations.

Why not just reverse the home colours, i.e. blue shirt and white shorts? I must admit that the purple shirt was my favourite.

 

As an ex-referee, may I urge that fancy multi-coloured trims with different sleeves (or two-coloured) sleeve are avoided? From a side view, when you are watching several players and the ball, all split second stuff, a diffeent coloured sleeve can look like a shirt of that colour, if you see what I mean. I recall doing a line in a count cup game where the Class 1 ref (old system) would not allow a team to play in shirts with confusing sleeves for that reason.

 

Also socks of opposing teams shoudl always be different.

 

Now, we must make sure we don't let Chopper use this as an excuse for another one of his, err, interesting, vibrant, kit choices............

Did you sell Yellow badges?

Also, i presume it costs about a quid each to buy the badges in the first place.So its £250 lost.Keep the yellow as a thrid kit,and you can sell yellow badges.If you only sell 5O yellows, thats £175.Which leaves you with a net lost of £125 (at worst).A small price to pay for a bit of integrity regarding club colours,surely? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

It's nice that you think that a net loss on 1 item is ok, add that to the equivalent losses on other items.
FYI,We have sold more of the Red/Black shirts so far this season than we sold total Yellow shirts in 4 years, funny that.
What do you mean integrity regarding Club Colours?.

Although yellow would be my prefured choice as second kit. I accept that yellow will not sell as well as other colours.But many other colour combinations would have sold just as well as the Red & Black,and have been more appropriate.

Bl**dy Hell LS. Most Town fans feel that the black & Red strip is good. I agreed with you at the start of the season that the change should have been more democratic and have already posted my suggestion for the future earlier. However, it's now time to accept that we have this strip for another 18 months whether you like it or not. It has been more successful commercially than the yellow one by a long way. Let's move on and dumpt this thread once and for all!

I agree. I was argueing retrospectively.Now we have the kit.It is only fair to the people who have purchsed it,that it remains unchanged for this season and for all of next season.

What are the borough of enfield colours?and why couldn't you get the one you wanted?

Unfortunately the Borough colours are probably red and black! Certainly red.

 

The traditional borough letter heading has an "Enfield" beast in red, and as far as I can recall the beast is generally shown in red. The only exception that springs to mind is our club badge!

 

There was a spell when our august leaders adopted the embarrassing slogan "London's Top Borough" and the crude logo was basically blue. When the slogam changed to "Working for people" or something equally naff, the colours stayed. I believe though that the stationery is now back to the traditinal red beast?

 

Having said that, the dustbin lorries and lorries with the sucky thing for drains were green.

PS basic sales lesson - what's to say that the people who bopught red/black dangly kit things wouldn't have bought a white one if the red/black one wasn't available, or whatever other snazzy 2nd kit we had? No you're right, let's move on..........

 

PPS Why not go back to school days, change kit is Skins................. it would get the crowds up at the Ladies' games!

Borough Colours are a Red Enfield on a Dark Green Background ( Which was why we did the quartered kit at Enfield all those years ago).
The kit I would have chosen would have been a Dark Green Shirt with a Gold Badge, Golden Shorts & Socks (It was the Brazil second kit in the fifties), no-one else licked the idea though!.
