Reserves vrs Waltham Forest

Got all the way up to Walthamstow tonight only to find that the game had been postponed. Apparently we cancelled the fixture. That is infact the second time that has happened this season.

The moral of this must be to always check 1st when it comes to Reserve fixtures!

 

No real surprise that we cancelled it,given the number of games at this time of year,and our limited squad - according to Dave's list on the official site,we play Redbridge next Wednesday, but the announcer at Daggers last week said that their reserve fixture with us for that day had been postponed - I'm not sure therefore,if the Redbridge game is a replacement, or if Dave's list confused D&R with Redbridge - if the latter,then we obviously wont have a reserve game next week either.

 

Perhaps Dave or someone fromthe club can confirm for the benefit of anyone who may be thinking of going?

I phoned the club today about Redbridge. That game is on Monday 9th January.

The reserve Capital League fixture at home to Gravesend & Northfleet will be played on Wednesday 12th April.

It's funny you say that because on the Redbridge F.C. website there is a fixture list for all clubs. It says we are playing Dagenham on Wednesday 25th January. I personally would believe the Daggers site though.

I got over the Stonebridge Road (40 mile round trip for me) at about 7:20 and no floodlights were on and both entrances were shut.

Yeah I did ring about 6ish , but I had to leave to get over there etc. Never mind I had a pint in the plough then a kebab. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

What did they say when you rang? You should know full well by now that games at Stonebridge Road don't get called off until 6:10pm, you should have at least given it another 15-20 minutes.

The game had to be cancelled due to the fact that during the night someone turned off the generator outside the club and cut and stole the cables to the power box, ripping out half of the fuses boxes etc in the process. The club had no power therefore no phones,lights or computers etc.

I understand that the electric board have now fixed it, but it is to late for the game.
