Evening all, just wandered if u thought u was going to play your first team against us?? Also what sort of following are you going 2 bring? Do u need directions, help etc??

We want to win it (the match & the Trophy) so it will definitely be what the manager considers is our best available side. We were playing you a few years back so I think most people know the way. Just make sure the pitch is ok & your team doesn't turn in a super human effort. We need to stay in to keep our season going.

Not sure about the team selection but looking forward to a good away day.

I hope that quite a few will journey given the proximity and the cup tie aspect.

Boreham Wood games were always quite comeptitive as I recall. We'd win one, they'd win the next, etc... Never forget their last-gasp victory in 2001-02 in the penultimate game of the season looked like ending our chances of winning the Ryman until Sutton equalised against Canvey!

Yeah werent to long ago that we had 5 games in hand on i think it was Kingstonain to go into the conference but we had to play them in about 10-11 days and ended up not going up!

That was the season we played Luton on Skysports??

 

Out of the interest what sort of attendances were u geting back then?? and has ur attendances shot up since being in the conference?

 

Because now we are this low in the pyrmid or attendances have slumped! Hoping 4 a 600 - 1000 gate at least against u 2 help push the finances forward for our promotion push!

 

I think we have always been seen as a under achiving side really.

 

Same old story start with a good team then sell the players and hope we have done enough to promote ourselves, hopefully this year will be different.

 

When you come down im sure the pitch will be pretty good the stadium is conference graded and im sure your all be impressed withour state of the art astro turf.

At first our attendances rose but now we've been here for a few years people are loosing interest and we are a couple of hundred down on the average of when we first cam up.

 

I expect we would bring about 150??

 

Really a complete guess.. unfotunately I can't come,as is the case with most away games as I start work shortly after the final whistle...!

I no smaller clubs alwayz say this but if we get our heads down and play decent we have alwayz got a chance. actually u look at past seasons fa cup, and this seasons trophy we can cause upsets, so u never no!!

What is the nearest train station and how far from the ground is it?

Nearest train station is elstree & borehamwood (THAMESLINK LINE ), 10 min walk to the ground, out the station straight down the high street ( threw the market)past mcdonalds turn left wiv the roundabout and ur see the floodlights.

 

The away bar is alright, can hold about 200 people. beers alright aswell"

Last time we played there I went there by train.

 

Very easy to find, not far from the tv studios.
