No Jacko? Interesting.

Not really. Jacko a legend over the years, the mainstay nay heartbeat of the team that delivered us conference footie.
However, saying that, past achievements should not cloud the goal of moving up a level.
Jacko is a great asset on the bench due to his versatility, but IMHO if we are going to move forward I would suggest a place in the starting line up should become less and less likely.

But as you say, your preferred option to allow us to progress at present is a side of 'mostly full-time players' consisting of short-contracted players and loan signings. Surely if Jacko is still good enough to make the first team (which I believe he is), then he could still do this within your preferred model. Ultimately, picking our best team remains the top priority, regardless of what mixture of full-timers and part-timers we use.

yes he could ,If he was up to moving us on a level.

Unfortunately I don't think he now is.

That does not diminish in anyway the admiration that I have had for Jacko and all the effort and loyalty that he has shown us over the years.

onwards and upwards for the Fleet

Are loan players capable of doing this though? A team vying for promotion that is heavily reliant on loanees would be built on shaky foundations.
