Everyone getting train? its a 2 n half hour trek, and then from what i undertands its another mission from the station, never been to windsor tho so what do i know!

 

What time is everyone leaving/meeting?

Well i was okay at going to Hampton.

 

I've just checked the train website and its £11 return. Its much cheaper if you do Group Saver, I'd expect it to be about £7 maybe?

Went to Windsor a fews ago for a pre-season match proberly the best pub crawl you'll have this year shame the weather looks dodgy.

 

The nearest pub to the ground is called The Hare and Hounds or something like that and proberly takes about 25 mins to walk if you don't stop off on the way.

Ah pubs...

 

Stag and Hounds is right by the ground, and there's a few more along the way from the stations - two just as you're leaving town at a cross roads at the end of the pedestrianised bit, The Bugle is about 500 yards from the ground as well.

 

As for stations, they're fairly near each other. From the Riverside, just walk past the castle and turn left into Peascod Street (past Ye Harte And Garter hotel/pub). From Central, you can either turn left straight away and walk through the open shopping center into Peascod Street or walk towards the castle.

Is it quicker to go from Waterloo or Paddington?

Paddington definitely, although you change at Slough to go to Windsor & Eton central, from memory I think it is about an hour quicker.

going to riverside means a change at straford and Waterloo and then Get off at Windsor Riverside.Tickets are £12 return

 

Where as

 

going to central you need to change at Liverpool street/Paddington/Slough and then get off @ central...this journey is 8 minutes longer. Tickets are also £12 Return

But then again going to riverside you will have to catch every train as you arrive, so you'll be given 0 minutes to catch your next train.

With group saver it will be half price.
