'One thing i would like to mention is that why on earth did a group of Hampton fans feel that it was necessary to wind up the Slough fans by coming to the other end of the ground to chant "we are top of the league" as the home supporters walked past. It is obvious that this will cause somekind of a reaction. It seems very childish.'

Lets talk about that for a moment...

I would have thought that by now you'd have figured out that the bar AND dressing rooms are at the opposite end of the pitch to where we were shooting in the 2nd half, our players held on in a match that could so easily have gone either way, so we went to the entrance to congratulate them, then on into the bar...

Its not our problem if you lot happen to be walking past us when we're celebrating. Don't flatter yourself in thinking that we'd make the effort of walking to the other end just for you lot.

The reaction from Slough fans over the 'we are top of the league' chant was hilarious...shouting and swearing...jesus! footies only a game people. The BBC show 'making Slough happy' clearly didn't work!

This isn't the first time Slough fans have gone over the top over nothing. I'm well aware of an incident last season whereby some of our younger supporters were psyically abused and threatened. Me thinks one of the crazy women was 'Charlie thomas' ...the one thats trying to give up fags..simply because of the phsyical shaking and clear withdrawal symptoms, it must be a hard time.

For the record, there were 6 teenagers wearing Sough shirts at our end in the first half who were constantly trying to wind us up, we just let them get on with it.

Anyway...WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE. If the crazy woman or her 'Grant Mitchell' look-a-like husband who looked but didn't talk have a problem with that, have a fag, calm down and have a look at the league table (well it could be worse...you could be in Windsors position! )

I personally agree that you have a right to walk to the bar and celebrate if you so wish. Well done, you won, I don't think you deserved it but hey ho.

What I don't like is the fact that you have come on here now making accusations against people who you don't even know and have not met. What right do you have to 'presume' that Charlie was the lady you met on the way out, how would you have a clue who was who. And where does your info about younger fans being attacked come from. I haven't heard anything about such an incident and I attended every game last season. You have come on here and, IMO, escalated an issue that was only brought up in a small post by one fan.

P.S. For the record I don't for the life of me believe it was Charlie who you came into contact with at the end, as I do not believe Marcus (her other half) to look anything like Grant Mitchell. More like Peggy Mitchell.

Don't think so, as your players were warming down at the opposite end to the bar and changing rooms as I was leaving the ground and as I passed your fans. And for the record, I was with Charlie as we left and she did nothing of the sort but if you want to make false accusations then so be it. I really do hope you had an enjoyable trip back from Staines at the end of last season, something about a... cup final defeat... I can't quite remember....

Chris...I agree that you had every right to celebrate your win, and also had the right to goad the Slough fans...after all this is football not tiddly winks, and no one said footy fans have to be rational or fair minded or even pleasant to each other. However I do wish one of the Slough fans present (I was unavoidably detained elsewhere) had excercised that other devive right of all footy fans...and gone in amongst your lot and administered a good punch up the bracket or two!

Good luck for the league by the way, and may at least one of you end the season with a good "claretting" by someone!

Chris, the guys above are quite right you should not of presumed the "mad woman" as you put it was Charlie. I think the woman you refer to was me and I can assure you I am not mad.

As osgood says you have every right to support your team but its the way it was carried out.

Firstly a prize prat stood on the side singing "your going down with the Windsor" which irritated me just a titch ( I did notice that when the game was over he slid away to the side trying not to be seen) and then to be greeted by you lot standing outside the players dressing room singing "We are top of the league" just iced the cake hence my telling you to politely go away!!!

If that is the way you celebrate it shows a decided lack of class and humility on you part. I also think if you continue to celebrate that way you will get more than just being told to *** off from teams other than ourselves.

And as for Charlie, not smoking made no difference to her she was still her normal lovely self and her character is now back in tact.

If hampton are such a good side why did they get beaten 3-1 by a side your fans claim "will be going down with the windsor" in the Bryco cup last season? - hampton have not got any silverware this season YET and I hope that your team stays down this season, and has to play teams like slough and maidenhead next seson so that you can be taught some humility.

Looks like your fans have picked up the bad habits of your manager - and we all know what a w***er he is!

I think Hampton fans have every right to celebrate victory in the clubhouse and what exactly is wrong with a "We are top of the league" chant. It is completely accurate. If we were top I would full expect us to be chanting the same. You have to be able to lose in good grace as well without always blaming the pitch, the referee or a series of freak incidents. Well done to Hampton and let's see whether the bravado of the fans is still there at the end of the season and let's hope they are ready to "take some" if they are still at this level next season.

Yes as you say they have every right to celebrate in the club house and on the way to it, no one disputes that, but singing outside the players dressing rooms as the home fans are leaving is asking for trouble you have to admit. I hope if we are ever in that position one day we behave more graciously.

Without moving the dressing rooms there is not a lot you can do at Windsor's ground to avoid this scenario. I think we should take defeat more graciously and it would be less of a problem.

Maybe there is a lesson to be learnt here from both sets of fans, one to accept losing more graciously and the other to win more graciously. It works both ways.

Fair play - not quite the replies I was expecting, thanks for recognising its always going to happen (unless you chance it so the away fans will be at the far end 2nd half)

Radders - I don't think we deserved it either

Nibbler - yep but we ALWAYS see our players off the field at the 'tunnel'

Charlie - sorry for the false accusation!

Sue - 'and then to be greeted by you lot standing outside the players dressing room singing "We are top of the league" just iced the cake hence my telling you to politely go away!!!'

Not too sure about the 'polite' part of that, but we had every right to be there and I'm sure no one at the Bev' would have done that to you if you had completed the comeback in September.

And yep some teams probably would do more than tell us to f*** off, in which case the relevant authority would be informed and we'd have the last laugh.

May I suggest getting some stewards?? At Hampton, our stewarding has in the past been criticised (by Slough fans amongst others I believe) and this season we have had alot of visible stewards, as well as community support and St. John ambulance at our matches and there has been no trouble (apart from Dons scum ripping our stand apart!!)

As for 'going down with the Windsor' comment....your going to have to live with it...stuff like that happens all the time, an example being on this thread from a Slough fan trying to wind me up about the Bryco Cup final last season, learn to take it on the chin.

Anyway I'm off, good luck for the rest of the season.

Now Chris I didnt use the term F*** off I said you might be told to *** off because believe it or not I am quite polite, (except behind the goal at football) it was just one of those situations that shouldnt of happened I agree, but everyone gets wound up now and again you included I am sure.

This disagreement could go round in circles for days but as anon posted earlier, I think both sets of fans could learn something from this.

Oh deary me, sticks and stones and all that!

Of course fans will chant things that the opposition don't like that's why it goes on at every ground in the country - give and take is what it's all about, Slough gave Hampton a lot of stick at the Bryco Final last season, Hampton currently have the bragging rights due to their league position, what goes round comes round!

For people to talk about 'claretting' is waaaaay over the top, it's a game for F@@@s sake, treat it like one!

The whole ethos of the non-league game is enjoyment, banter and a drink with the opposition in the bar afterwards, win or lose have some booze! Or would people rather see segregation and increased admission prices to cover the wages of massed hordes of stewards/police. Some people take the game [and themselves] far too seriously and should learn to chill out a bit, as I've already said it's a game, some entertainment on a dreary Saturday not life or death - yes I'm gutted with my own clubs' situation at the moment but I'm not going round kicking the s**t out of people every week or even contemplating suicide because it's a game, end of story

Interesting that the Hampton no.2, Graham Harper, referred to Windsor's ground as a S*** hole (Pot, kettle, black etc.) when collecting the ball for a throw and celebrated at the Slough fans at the end of the game. Can't think what prompted it, but a nice jesture. When will such players learn?

Thought a draw would have been a fair result, but am more pleased that we competed against the league leaders. We'd have been steam rollered 2 months ago. The comparative average ages of our respective squads proves that we're still learning whilst Hampton have experience in droves.

Good luck to them, their organisation was expected, but the football that accompanied it was a marked improvement on the abject rubbish usually served up by Devonshire sides. For once we had the long throws!!

Shame all round... but the conflict was there to see by both parties...so we have to learn a lesson and so will some of your supporters too...

(going down with the windsor is enough to make me mad too...how very dare you !!) LOL

Just like the day Devonshire... said to our supporters where's your ground then ! with a snigger on his face,...not nice at all...

thanks to all of those who put chris right on my behalf....and as for marcus looking like grant mitchell... pah!

agree with chris s, aggro on both sides but hey it's only a football match right?.... guys?...hope the ricay' game goes in our favouroh and hampton chris... thanks for your concern but i'm not crazy.... have never abused children, hampton supporters or otherwise and the giving up is going extremely well, without any shaking. I suggest you ascertain who people on here are in real life before making accusations in the future.

Didnt think there was any aggro that i saw, yes the "we are top of the league" was aimed at winding up the STFC fans more than encouraging the Hampton Players, as was the little child (7-8) who decided to tell me "Slough are [****!!****]" (what proud parents he must have!- Who were watching no less) But lets look on the bright side

1)Cant see Hampton winning the league as they only jsut beat us twice when we were playing very poorly- and we have played much stronger sides, so why did anyone let the chanting bother them?

2)Sue got mistaken for a 21 year old.

3) Thanks gary for the Peggy Mitchell comment... thats two i owe you for now

4) Chris chill out and order the Bryco cup final DVD its quite a laugh
