I think the Carshalton game was 4-0. It was 1999/2000 season though.

That Carshalton match by the way, I think Clarky was celebrating completing a hat-trick but I may be wrong. He certainly got one a couple of weeks later against Dulwich cos it was reported in The Sun.

The first picture is from 1999/2000 v Carshalton, final score 4-0. Don't know if Clarky got a hat-trick or not, will check later.

 

The second is home v Boston in 1998/9. The 2 is Tom Meredith, think the 11 is Dom Gentle but I stand to be corrected on that one!

 

No ideas on the third, GHA'S suggestion of Chris McMenamin sound good to me.

It's definitely McMenamin. Scored a great goal at Canvey in the FA Cup - bugger all else!

 

I seem to recall that other great player, Steve Butler, scored the first one in the 4-0 win over Carshalton.

The picture of Clarky scoring against Richard Blake was the Club Christmas card that season with the motto "Behind every great goalkeeper......is a goal from Steve Clark".

 

I have one in mint condition at home, signed by The Legend. It's going up in value all the time.

 

Here's a question: Where did Blake play last season, and where is he now?

Sorry AFF, can't answer that one, was he anything to do with Blake's 7?

 

To answer the other question, Clarky scored 24 hat-tricks for the Saints, including two in one game when we beat Hillingdon Borough 11-1 in the FA Cup.
