Margate Fan will you stop talking about those at home in there armchairs. I think you will find most followed Margate all over the country long before you became a fan. Not just Essex if there is not good football to be seen. People will not travel, it does'nt make you anymore of a fan.

Just got home and wow! what a lotta posts. St.Peter you just beat me to it there. June, you are not being very fair to people who try & get to the games as much as possible but cant for many reasons. I for one try to but I do have full time employment to go to,shift work etc and many games and travelling distances wont allow me to get to as many away games as I would like. Home games are different. They are just down the road from where I work & its easier to get to those games.Please understand that we at home, the "armchair" fans, support the club as much as those that DO get to away games.

As for today I have had my say but mainly on the RESULT against a team that has won only ONE game all season. As for the performance I cant comment & its reports coming back that explain just how good or bad we played & I take what is said as fact,though as you say in another post we all have different opinions and see things differently. We shouldnt see things differently but somehow we do.I notice a difference of opinions from some that did actually go today.

 

Despite criticising we will all still go to the next game (jobs permitting) hoping for a better performance and that in itself makes us stalwart supporters just the same as you or anyone else that does manage every game.All credit to you and those that CAN manage every away game.You all carry our flag with great credit on ours andthe clubs behalfs.

I assume these people have employment that gives them the time to go.Lucky people! Unfortunately we cant all be choosy about what job we have these days.

 

Today we(us at home)create, but mainly on the result(armchair fans) but next week we will be right behind the team again in the hope of a better performance and result.It dosent concern me about relegation at the moment but I do care about people being put off coming to home games.Shame about a terribe result,I AM embarrassed as a margate fan but for the result andnot the fact that I AM a margate fan through & through.,but tomorrows another day.

 

p.s.Despite his weird team selections of late I still think CK has to at least see out this season.Though dwindling he still has me amongst others who are still willing to give him that time to sort things out.He just has to though, get the in form players out there and stop giving preference to those he likes more or has a deal with to play every game.Or maybe they have been hyped up to look a good player and have a "name" or whatever, but he must choose the best at the time.Only then will we see improvement.

Now the game is over we've all got things off our chests & its time to try and do what the heading of this thread suggests and try and <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />again.Its not easy at the moment but we have to try.

Got to say though James what else can you do but laugh at the current situation. Either that or we'll all pull all our hair out (if you have any lol). Players lacking confidence in the starting line-up and we have an on-form Sesay, McGowan who has shown promise with his sub appearances lately, and Hilaire who scored v Folkestone when he came on all on the bench. Not gonna keep banging on about this as we've all read plenty over the last few days about it. So perhaps laughing is the best way about it. And then there's the laughable situation with the ground which could yet drag on months or years if they want to change to plans.

They are Margate fans and clearly state that they are.Why should I have a go at them. At least they have some idea about our team and about football. Therefore they have nothing I need to come back to them on. Jokes from them I can take. You on the other hand am just a limpet. All you have to do is to decide who it is that you support(Ramsgate I believe judging by your posts)) and go with it then go away from us! You will get more respect for doing so.
