I thought he was positioned perfectly. The freekick was exceptional, curled around the outside of the wall and back, R Carlos stylee.

You wouldnt have seen Roberts do anything he is very coy like that isnt he?!

Boring, Robots, Quiet, C**P . . . . . . 3 points, Injury time winner and above you in the league though!! ner ner!!

Thats the way to say it!

Other interesting scores today (if anyone is interested) include Canvey beating Grays again 2-1, Altrincham beating Kiddi 3-0, and Aldershot beating Exeter 1-0...

...Also Louis scored for Stevenage again in their 3-1 win over Cambridge!

We're not claiming to be innocent, unlike you about Roberts. Fans and keeprs banter, it's what happens. Some days he'll come off best, some days we will. Today we did. Now run along you herbert, you're embarrassing your team.

U know I accept that what happens in football happens and that we got 2 late goals at yer place and u got 2 late goals at ours. Fair enough

however the reason I am pissed off is cos u fans are the biggest tossers ever. Calling Robbo a [****!!****] at the end is that necessary. Hes a personality in the game and u only disrespect hinm cos yer keeper is a boring [****!!****].

Plus at the end yer little gang stood in the corner abusing our playeras as we walked off. I will now be looking at yer results from now on and wishing that u lose every [****!!****] game

u bunch of [****!!****]

go away you boring sarf london jumped up little sh1t, wobberts is a [****!!****]3r end ov! and got wot e deserves.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz wen dus scool re start?

Don't worry Hirsty, no offence taken with that.

He gives as good as he gets. He probably does, what player usually doesnt. What gets me is that fans seem to think that gives them the right to call him this and that for what he gave them. Ok so surely they are then calling themselves the same?

We have morons on our board who are just there to annoy. Maybe people see me as one. Some will put forward a decent arguement. Some will simply randomly abuse.

More disturbing in my view is the fact that some of our supporters seem to be able to give a detailed account of all of Roberts' actions. I personally chose to actually watch the game.

It's also interesting to note that while Roberts gets slated for playing to the gallery, Steve Perrin was loved for it while playing for Forest Green (remember his aeroplane celebration at Stonebridge Road a couple of seasons back when they nicked a late equalizer?).

On the assumption that your comments are directed at me:-

a) I stand by my comments on Roberts actions on Boxing day and, as I was behind his goal, I could see him rather better than the other D&R players who were up the other end celebtating their two second half goals.

B) I didn't think he was too bad yesterday antics wise. I think the friendly stick he got was because he did not appear as happy yesterday as on boxing day !!

If you are "playing to the gallery" then you must expect it to end in tears sometimes !! unless he keeps a clean sheet every game.

Anyway, all over & done now........honours even !

Cheers,

Equally disturbing is the seeming amount of time spent by some Dagenham fans watching their Fleet counterparts...

Moore Fan.

Rest assured our dislike of Roberts has nothing to do with your club! I have the greatest respect for what I consider to be a shinning example of what can be done with limited resources.

No, Mr Roberts has been a constant wind up ever since he was playing for St Albans.

He was an arrogant git then and he has remained that way ever since. I'm sure he is nice to old ladies, pats dogs on the head and gives half his weekly earnings to charity.... but in my opinion I just wish he would hurry up and retire! I dislike him almost as much as I detest Les Cleevely!!!

Funny thing is ..... I know he was a good keeper and even remember the times when he starred for QPR, but I honestly cannot think of a time he has had a good game against us?

To be fair though we couldn't not notice him after they socred and most of the incidents we saw saw were when the ball went out for a goalkick and he turned to collect the ball....

If i remeber rightly we returned the aeroplane when (if my memory is right) Essandoh put the 2nd past FGR away that season, about 5 of us ran along arms out strectched, going nnnnnneeeeeooooowwwwwmmm (its an plane).

Also Perrin gave little banter at the away game, and what banter he did give back was humourous. For example in response to our chants of "does Macdonalds know you're here", he went to take a bite out of a Gravesend fans burger.

Although i wern't there what i here is that Roberts was more of a wind-up merchant and then when the tables turned was unable to take the stick back.

At least Munden was occasionally witty.

A Kent Senior Cup game when he was at Fisher is particularly memorable when he appealed for offside from a ball cut back from the byline by Perry Spackman (another former great).

Les Cleeveley also a good banter merchant and the infamous Delroy "I'll stab you" Preddie.

I remember going to watch us play away to Bromley (which I've just checked was on December 28th 1998...so I was 10).

I mention this as I recall most Fleet fans around me seemed to like their goalkeeper and when one of our players got sent off (Broderick, I think) their goalie even said he shouldn't have been sent off. There may have even been a chant calling their team tossers, apart from the goalie.

Anyway, that didn't stop the Fleet fans celebrating wildly when we got a last-minute winner.

Still, no idea who he was...
