I found this email to have some interesting points of view on the club as a whole not just the reserves but the future of WEF Clubs policy on youth in the area.. any comments from the clubs sec or Mal.or anyone else.

just read you can only ground share for three seasons is this correct?

Chels - Martyn Deaner told the slough fans that it was 3 equal payments of £25,000 and we would own Windsors ground - now your saying thats not right?

He would build windsor a new ground in colnbrook next to the incinarator as the flames from its chimney were brighter than the flood lights at stag meadow - only down side was that the rubbish dump was still setteling but would end up with a slope the same as you are used too.

Its the brummie accent that reminds me of Jasper Carrott that convinces me of his honesty - however it is a close thing as to who has made up the most stories!

INCORRECT - Groundshare deals must be for a MINIMUM of three years after which they can be extended season by season.

As regards the other comments I think Mr Simpson laid this out very clearly in an interview in the local papers at the start of the season and again recently in our own matchday programme.
It is impossible to have W&EFC's 1st and Reserve teams plus Slough's 1st team all playing Saturday football - there aren't enough Saturdays in a season! Therefore the club elected to join the Capital League which, as has been pointed, out is a midweek league which gives us the chance to continue to operate a reserve team. It was decided, with the appointment of Gary and Eugene to run the reserves, that the emphasis should be on bringing the younger players through the reserves to prepare them for the 1st team and this, to some extent, is already happening with the likes of Will Dunlop and Richard Wilson already having progressed. You will NEVER get a situation where every player in a reserve team is good enough to progress though and that needs to be understood! You will also get players that think they're good enough but are not, so they move on to other local clubs to try and prove their point only to find out the truth ie James Cox - Windsor, Maidenhead, Flackwell, back to Windsor and now back to Flackwell! It may be that an 18 year old who isn't good enough at present may be good enough in 2 years time but have they got the ambition to put in the effort and wait their chance or just drift off into Sunday football?
I'm not sure if the question regarding the 'youth policy' was referring to that situation or about youth football in general, if it was the latter then the clubs' policy regarding the new youth teams was that they would always have to find their own pitches to play on [apart from the odd cup game] as you cannot expect the pitch at any ground to have 5 or 6 teams playing on it on a weekly basis. When the finances are available for the work to be done on the training pitch we will have a facility where all of our teams have a training area and the younger teams will be able to play small-sided football matches but, until then, the situation remains as it is now.
Hopefully that answers the questions you seem to be asking, if not, ask away and I'll see what I can do! One thing I will not do though is discuss finances ie players wages or the budget in general as that is a matter for those putting the money in ie the board of directors.

any further comments on WEF clubs youth policy from management please.

I've already answered what I believed to be your question, can you be more specific please?
Do you mean youth as in the kids teams or youth as in youngsters progressing through the reserves, and do you mean management of the club or team management?

Either way I still think the question has been answered ie the club has stated its policy on youth previously and that is the policy for the club [which includes team managers, secretary, directors etc].

Hon Sec many thanks, read and understood,so if Slough move out would WEFC reconsider the reserves on a saturday league to allow the extra 1st players to get a run out with them.

Almost certainly, dependent on finding a Saturday league to play in. As far as 1st team players getting a run out in the reserves, I'm sure that would have happened more often this season if we hadn't had so many injuries which has meant we've only just had enough players available for 1st team games for most of this season so far!
