Very pleasing performance against formidable opposition, sizewise. This was always going to be tough. The two central defenders Nick Burton and Nathan Bunce were towers of strength, while Scotty Cousins had an awesome game.

 

A clinical strike from Clarkey today from Matt's cross from the right and a bullet header second into the roof of the net from Simon, late in the second half from Matt's inswinging corner from the left. Great to see Clarkey back on the goal trail for the second consecutive game after the long drought.

 

Very disappointing away support from Havant, possibly 30 or 40. Not good from a team second in the league. Makes you realise just how good our away support is. Can see us taking 150/200 to Stortford tomorrow.

Interesting how both opposing teams over the festive period so far are saying how poorly they played - might that be something to do with how we contained them and closed them down when needed?

 

Agree about Cousins - my MoM just ahead of Bunce & Burton.
