Stockport will be without keeper Lee Jones for another four weeks after it was revealed that his rib injury is worse than first thought. Winger Andy Welsh is also out of action for the next six weeks after undergoing a hernia operation this week.

 

I assume this is good news.

Those are recent pictures; it ain't bad on a non-rainy day and there's a half decent refreshments counter (balti pie is just the job; but traditionalists of fine pies may go for a Hollands steak and kidney). Watched a game from that terrace myself 3 weeks back; decent view etc.

 

Well rather than hang around pubs near the station, come up to Castle Street (turn left once you've walked into the station 'subway', up the hill, turn left then Castle Street is first big pedestrianised road on your right by the roundabout). 'Bobby Peel' is used by most visitors (plenty of banter and singing etc.) but also drop in at the Royal Oak (furher down); good cheap beer etc.

 

 

We just lost in the Cheshire Cup to Chester despite having 6 first team players in the line up... looks like you're playing us at the right time for you! At the moment things go 100% against us or 100% for. And we've yet to poduce two good halves in the same game! We've had fione big wins over barnsley and Blackpool but also had a few thrashings.

 

Still, it's the cup..anything can hapen (6 years ago we got to the semis of the Coca Cola by beating 3 Premiership teams; and that's before we went up to the first). Maybe this is your year...
