agree, taff is class but there is lots of class in the squad, a good few of whom could also make it as full time pro's...as for jonesy...what's the betting that he and taff score 50 between them in all comps and jonah scores over half of them, any takers on that one? just a thought as well, why do so many people knock jonah, any true urchin knows that steve coming here started the whole thing off, jonesy has nothing to prove to anyone, his track record as a pro says it all, we know he's not pele but the boy is quick, is agressive and can score goals, always has, always will,,as for taff moving on...I think you'll find that mick is on record as saying that no player under contract is for sale, at any price. as an ex accountant for leicester city and bradford...I have come up with a good idea for the urchins transfer policy...sell the entire first team squad and move the under 18's up. then spend all the money on a new stand which can remain empty thereby qualifying for major tax relief. This tax relief can then be offset against legitimate business expenses such as night clubs, expensive restaurants and champagne bills which are incurred up by the club directors in the normal course of their duties.. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif" alt="" />

Having watched this lad in action, it is clear that Martin not only has an eye for goal but his all round contribution to the team can only be admired. His goals/games ratio (8 in 7) speaks for itself. Wrap this lad in cotton wool because i am sure it wont be long before a league club are knocking on our door. The young lad has so much to offer British football and we can only pray that he sticks around with us long enough to take us into the premier division.

adam lock is also a much needed boost to the side as he proved on saturday. a great display and a fine goal, although he cannot afford too many lack lustre performances and his first touch needs to be improved if he is to do well at this level.

agree, jonah is class, but dont forget locky, it looks like his composure and experience in the middle of the field could prove the key to our success.

as for taff, keep him as long as we can. Whats the odds he scores more goals than games played by the end of the season? the lad is awesome and i know my 12 year old idolises him. he's even got his name on the back of his shirt which he hopes to get signed!

Taff has certainly found his eye since signing for the 'Church, keep up the good work son!

 

A good performance against the Met, I think Lockey is looking like the weak link in the side though - anyone else agree? He got quite lucky with his goal on Tues, a bit flukey, I reckon it's time we got someone with a bit more vision in there to start creating for Taff and Jonah.

you are obviously an expert on such matters coming from such a football hotbed as Basildon (where exactly is it?) Lockie is the best player in the squad by miles and class always tells in the end.
