If the weather continues, will the club need extra pairs of hands to keep the match on, if so can some one within the club post something on here or do we need to volunteer ourselves by ringing the club?

Is it still snowing in sunny Gravesend? It was when I left at about 7:20.

 

Snowing here in Tottenham Court Road but don't think it'll settle as the ground is already wet.

 

If it settles in Northfleet will it affect the game tonight?

The snow (sleet that didn't really settle) stopped a couple of hours ago.

It's cold yes - but certainly not freezing.

Any update? It wet and very breezy in South East London at almost midday but no chance of frost or snow problems it would seem.

 

Not very good conditions for free flowing entertaining football though.......No change there then!

Dear all,

 

I've just spoken to Mr Secretary who has told me that at the moment the "pitch looks perfect and theres no doubt about the game being called off!"

 

There's no plan to hold any inspection so unless we get a monsoon this afternoon, it looks like there will be footie at Stonebridge Road this night!

 

Not sure about the Radio / net coverage as there's no Sports Show - if I know anything before setting out, I'm sure either myself or Lord Webster will post something on the board!

The pitch looks fine, obviously a bit damp, but no reason at all why we shouldn't play tonight.

Dunno about a bit damp Dave, its been hammering down since you left and it could end up more "swamplike" by 7.45 I think

 

Is there a late inspection Dave ? If so what time will we know for sure, and how ?

So it is not snowing then? Sky News just showed a graphic showing snow right along the Kent cost of the Thames up to London at 6pm. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I am coming up from Maidstone, so a bit of warning would be nice if it is off! There is snow on the grass here, but the roads are clear and it is raining hard!

Phoned the club at 4.30 and the game was definately on. Lets face it, we don't play at home again until 21st so the pitch will have time to recover, just postpone all Dartford's games!
