It seems as though supporting a football team is like some big competition these days. 'Look at me, I go home and away, through thick and thin, rain and snow'.

To be honest, as a West Ham supporter for 21 years I have seen them serve up some dross so am certainly used to it but these days, at around £40 a ticket, I feel walking out with 10 minutes left of a dire display is totally just.

 

Bottom line, I'm just glad to be back in the Premier League so I'm not complaining because we have had a wonderful season thus far...

 

Simply put, the problem is the money. The money paid to watch a West Ham game almost demands a performance of some kind (don't anyone say a bad one!) This is the reason fans feel cheated and think, 'fck it, I'll go home for a nice cuppa' or words to that effect!

 

While I understand both sides of the argument, leaving with 10 minutes left doesn't make Gerk or anyone else less of a supporter.
