A Belated Birthday Present.

Only thing missing from yesterday's wonderful vocal dominant display from the "YELLOW ARMY" was a chorus of Happy Birthday Stimmo to really make his unforgetable day extra special!!

Never mind, we can make ammends by another unforgetable vocal display by the awesome drummers & co' next Monday.

I thought perhaps we could obtain Jason Hallett's shirt and all sign it as a momento of Grays first home defeat in the Nationwide Conference and wrap it in lovely Yellow & Blue paper which we could leave in the away dressing room next Monday.

I have no problem with Stimmo leaving Canvey in such a sneaky and devious manner as he did but DO NOT disrespect the fans (who addored him at Villa Park as he left the pitch in such a wonderful arrogant way on that day he helped us to one of our finest moments) in the way he did at half-time on Tuesday.

Fans will taunt (Jeff knows only to well) but You need thick skin and broad shoulders in this game so grow up and chill-out.............LOOSER

See you next year XXX

Could somebody please explain what happened when Stimpson left Canvey to go to Grays in "such a sneaky and devious manner" and what exactly did happen between him & the Canvey fans at half time on Tuesday?

Without going into too much detail, it wasn't a coincidence that when Stimson left for Grays as player/coach, Adam Miller & Peter Smith followed very soon afterwards.

Still, I'm glad it happended looking back on it. After all, how would Jeff Minton been able to score the winner against the scum if they hadn't swapped him for Miller!

As for half time, he was just being his arrogant self, nothing more that I expected really.

Unfortunately, that wasn't there first home defeat, Accrington Stanley have that claim.

And Wayne Vaughan as well.

I didn't think Wayne Vaughan left under the same circumstances. As fas as I knew, when he fell out of favour at Canvey and was released he joined Purfleet, and went onto Grays from there where he broke his leg.
