as I left notts this morning and drove south into a blizzard...the stage was set...the hog roast was cooked..the mulled wine was gently simmering and the esl awaited with baited breath for the 3pm ground breaking NTRBD fandango.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

 

and then bridgey rang me and said the pitch was covered in snow....but not to worry as the boys were clearing it.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

 

well they did and the sun did its bit and the folks came in good numbers and orf we went at 3pm....

 

not a classic and fair play to brentwood who again came to play good football but were never strong enough for the urchins and three goals before half time settled it really and who could complain...daft penalty to town and converted well before MOM billy holland settled matters beyond doubt...4-1....and a very valuable 3 points in the bag before we take on wabby next week...good work from the officials as well although I believe the penalty decision was mildly contested by the eastside.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

nice to see all of the esl faces around the ground and thanx for coming lads.....didn't really get to see many in the bar afterwards as it was packed to the rafters but a great drink up and a few urchin songs to send us on our way home.....good day and nice visitors who surely are not far from being a good team....well done john and brentwood.....I hope that everyone enjoyed the day and well done to jonno ...jen...sal......all the staff....the urchinett's and the snow party for making it such a good day...

1) How poor was Brentwood Keeper?!

2) How funny was the number 2 with his "HUR"
