Coleman

Well said Darren!

I'm not sure if Coleman is any good or not. Because the midfield just isn't providing the sort of service that a half decent forward can make use of.

In my opinion, I think he is a hard worker who looks like he is forging a useful partnership with Charlie, especially during the Thurrock game. But we just don't seem to have anyone who can provide the "killer" ball from midfield at the moment.

I would seriously think twice about having a go at any of our forwards until our midfield starts working a bit harder.

Actually we do have someone who can hit that killer ball and score plenty from midfield.......... think his name is Jackson or something like that! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon29.gif" alt="" />

If the loan isn't extended, it'll be interesting to see whether it'll be Jukebox (given that Slatter's now back) or Luke Moore partnering Charles up front on Friday.

Andy's point about Coleman is a valid one, but when he did get the ball on Boxing Day he made a few errors. Putting it down to a combination of the fact he is out of form (after all, the Crawley game showed what he's capable of) and the standard of service is probably the correct explanation.

Coleman's first touch is poor, his second touch is always a tackle or block.

The midfield don't seem to like taking responsibility for a pass forwards instead giving it backwards or sideways until they are crowded out. The wide players don't appear to take player's on much anymore - something which played a large part in the small amount of success we have had this year.

The only reason we are looking at players like Coleman (that to be honest no-one else wants is because Daish failed to sign a quality striker in the summer to support Charlie.

Similar situation to our keeper fiasco. Two guys signed at the last minute. One who wouldn't have got into my Sunday side (but the club is prepared house at its own expense allegedly £600 per month and pay wages too also) and one who plays every week for us now, but at best is only as good as Pullen or Wilko.

The summer is where the work should have been done, if it had, we wouldn't need to have had a revolving door fitted on the home dressing room.

There must be some reason why Kerr has international experience below senior level. As for Holloway, being as good as a 'keeper who played a significant role in keeping us up in 2002/2003 would seem to be good news to me.

That said, I agree that having two full-time 'keepers is pretty unnecessary.
