So who's going to admit it then?

We're going down. Everyone with any sense can see that. The Question is that is anyone going to stand up and take the bullet? Doubt it. No instead we'll keep the same team and managers together and yes do well in a lower league but come back up and get destroyed again. It was embrassing today. Look at the amount of Windsor fans...Hardly any more than a normal match.

Comment of the day was a Slough fan shouting " We'll miss you next season!"

Just like to add that i was the Slough fan shouting the above... I actually dont want to see Windsor go down but your defence today was appaling! 12 point clear of safety you are going to ahve to pull something out of the bag, but good luck for th rest of the season except for when we see you again.

Are WEFC going down ? Almost certainly. However, today showed that STFC are more neat and tidy but didn't really threaten much. Terrible mistake by Tilbury for 0-1. WEFC were on top then for 20 minutes until terrible error by Jarvis (or Drake ?) for 0-2. Dodgy penalty decision immediately in 2nd half made it game over at 0-3. STFC could then do some showboating, and the game died in the last 15. Wallace continues to try hard; Coyne did well/tries to get passing going but WEFC just don't keep the ball long enough to draw opposition out of position.

If WEFC are going down, why not plan for next season......NOW ?? Leave the older players out, put younger, hungrier ones in.

Big problem is WEFC don't look like scoring. Help ?!?

The camera angle doesn't really show it, but some are given, some aren't. Slough took the chances presented to them and as a result didn't really come out of second gear.

Given the players available at Windsors disposal, to get relegated is an absolute joke. The blame for that can only lie with the management.

Well, quite. I've been saying this for a while and today's match is surely proof. Too many of the players appear to be just serving time, happy to pick up some (allegedly quite substantial) extra cash for no work. We don't get the results to allow this.

So, let's write off the season, plan for the drop and build a team to do well next year. Assuming we can, I'd keep those longer-serving players who really put the effort in and seem to care - Tills and Spenny leap to mind, for example - and keep the newer guys who do seem to try, e.g. Case and Jarvo, and Drake if he'll stay, but then go with reserves as far as possible. Fact is, I'd rather watch triers like Coyne, Wilson or Cahill and I think they and some others are certainly good enough for division 1 next year. Lose the expensive strollers and the ones who just aren't achieving.

And much though I like him as a player and as a person, I just don't think DC is the right manager at least for us. With these results the manager must take a lot of the blame, just as he gets the praise when his plans work. But I'm not seeing innovation, no creativity, not even reliable set-pieces or anything to give me hope.

Plus our fan base never really changed when we went up, and our attendances now are just too low to give us the resources to compete properly. But I don't think we'll shed any if we drop down... people might even turn up again if there's a chance of seeing a Windsor win!

cant imagin many 1st team players wanting to stay for next season in Div 1 with the exceptions of the LOCAL lads, so DC do the next best thing sort out the dead wood, start looking for next year and visit some local sides and get a team prepared to play in the WEFC shirt for pride and not cash. Get a coach in to boost their confidence, go look at your ressies play and encourage them, Chuck took 10 promising lads with him, and other kids released, get the has beens off the gravey train now otherwise move over and let someone else try, theres no leadership, no commitment. no encoragement, some dont look fit,and poor tactics to boot. not all good players make good managers.

I'd actually like to say best of luck for the rest of the season as well - it can't be easy to watch that shambles week in, week out. We've said that about Slough a few times this season, but it's not as bad as what I saw yesterday. I personally hope you can pull it together and survive (but not at the expense of us of course!) and provide us with a sterner test next season.

There is no way Drake will stay with you if you go down. Way too good. Very worrying signs for your lot particularly the players arguing amongst themselves.

when i have seen Drake play he has let in long range shots that a good keep should have at least tried to save, he stays on his line to much does not patrol his 18yard box and not the best puncher of a ball.Kevin can work on these things but his confidence behind the rest must be in tatters, give him a break, rest him and a couple of others and give the kids a try the worst they can do is loose but then whats new. DG used to give ressies run out in cup games but DC just brings further fresh faces in at the drop of a hat and they look lost amongst strangers.

You have not got any cup games to bring through youngsters. Drake can't do anything behind that back line and has looked a very competent keeper when I have seen him in previous years. To be frank you look poor from front to back. Not sure whether the players lack the quality or if it is purely down to the management.

Obviously Anon hasn't got a clue on goalkeeping. That is also why Anonymous should remain that way. I agree that some of the said players should leave but not the likes of Drake, Jarvis & coyne etc.. I also agree that there needs to be a shake up whether it's the manager or players I don't know but that is for the board to decide. I think there has been too many experienced players been given too many chances this year and they haven't produced the goods.

Im entitled to my opinion on goal keeping,i seem to remember your handle being used to praise Chuck to the skies for one season then couldnt wait to get rid of him.If you read my opinion its that he doesnt patrol his 18 yard box like most pros do,his confidence must take a pounding every week, remember other players can make mistakes, miss open goals and all is forgotten, a keeper makes one error and nine out of nine times its in the net. Look at the stats not that many clean sheets , check the previous keepers[bunty /Chuck]stats for clean sheets. I rest my case and will now visit Burnham who have just given their keeper a contract for 18 months, he was available at the begining of the season, local lad.If Drake is as good as you state why was he released by a club higher up the league than us.
