But it is rather unlikely, given that if you had to list 5 sides better than us on a consistent basis, you could well come up with double that. I can see where you are coming from RR, but just assume we had stayed part-time and were promoted what then? A sudden change to full time, hasty decisions re contracts etc, a near complete change of playing staff for the new season, a team of strangers for the first few games of the season in a higher division. A recipe for disaster.

I for one support the gradual change and have faith in the management of the Club that they will not do anything that jeopardises its future.

I simply think he is a far better man manager than Liam. Andy. More eloquent. Better motivator. Better at persuading players to actually sign for him. Higher profile. Better coach. More cheerful. Better relationship with both players and fans. I could go on.

In all honesty, I reckon a better than 50% proportion of Fleet fans would gladly swap Liam for Ade.

Yeah you have a point there GC but the club made there choice and appointed Liam he might not be everyones ideal manager but he is what the club want as a manager and rather than being negative towards Liam why dont we get behind him and the Squad!!!

CG, I'm not sure I agree with that. Ade may well be a very good manager but he has just signed basically all of our squad from the last couple of years, a squad that managed to keep us in the conference. The Conf south is still pretty much a Ryman League, it will take a while for it to get strong. John Micheal Sigere is scoring lots of goals in that league, off course it's poor.

The nail has been hit well and truly on the head there. It would be the same if, hypothetically speaking, Andy Hessenthaler had become our manager: we would have been inundated with Gillingham rejects playing a standard of football too low for them and, as a result, we would be more successful.

There is no real evidence to suggest that pennock would be a good manager at Conference level, with lower-standard Conference players rather than the high-standard Conference South players he has at Welling.
