See other thread CT - as it was right in front of me, only thing I can think of is he was giving the referee a lot of verbal for missing the elbow, so I can only presume he overstepped the mark.

To answer your question, CT, Hodgey was booked for foul and abusive language, apparently. And, to answer your other question, we're up to 12th!

 

On a separate subject...Tom has been mascot four times now and all four games have resulted in Slough victories! Oxford City, Tooting & Mitcham, Walsall and now Windsor. Might have to make him do it more often!

On his way around the pitch, Hodgie said somethign along the lines of "I dived apparently", so I can only assume the ref thought he had dived.

I can only assume it was for abusive language, as surely the ref didn't think it was a dive if he called kev out to have a look at him? stil at least he got to have the last laugh.

From where I stand it looked for sure that the ref booked Hodgey for diving, not foul and abusive language, although clearly some harsh words followed this incident.

Wilko my MoM by a mile, he looked ready to die for the cause with some of the blocks he did from their free kicks.

 

Must admit, I thought Hodgey was booked for diving but then allowing the trainer on for Hodgey being injured from the collision doesn't seem to make sense.

 

But then again most of the afternoon I thought the referee was very inconsistant with his decisions, one minute making a decision that was hard to spot and then missing the plainly obvious ones.

 

Also, in the second half I gave the the referees assistant a bit of verbal when we put the boards up to make our sustitutions, the referee missed it because he had his back to it but the Referees Assis. who was facing it did absolutely nothing to let the referee know.

v good performance from us yesterday, against a poor side yes but a win is a win!

wilko amazing again deserved that goal he almost got!! ballard looked v strong again too. an amazing own goal strikers header from jarvis.

i thought hodgey was done for diving which was completely stupid on the part of the ref. i cant see him getting booked for language when he spent half the time on the floor!

hopefully we can carry this on to next week two big home games.

Always fantastic to beat your local rivals, but how low must their fans be, having to watch that week in, week out? I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that they are possibly worse than Redbridge, on that evidence. If they'd not bothered turning up and we were awarded a default 3-0 win instead, it would have been much less embarassing for them.

 

That said, it wasn't even that great a performance from us, but I was still impressed by Ballard and Wilkinson, who was unlucky not to score, and also Hodgey who was set to miss this one through injury but battled on.

 

On top of that, we had the dubious pleasure of meeting Jarvo's brother, who told us we should be singing about Jamie because 'he scored your goal for you'. Also, it's always nice meeting people off t'telly but if Windsor think signing Ralf Little is going to help them in some way, I think they're sadly wrong. The poor lad had a stinker, but he did take his (considerable) stick well though!

 

Well done Rebels, but bring on Hampton, a much tougher test. To Windsor I say - good luck, you'll need it.

Cheerio Windsor. They may as well call it a day now. Easily the worst side we have seen. At least Redbridge appear to have mastered the purpose of the game i.e to score more goals than the opposition. They never even looked remotely like scoring and appeared to be playing one up front which is madness.

 

Slough did ok - controlling the game completely but did not create that much. Did not need to. Well done to Hodgey for the goals and leading the ease chants.

Nibbler, spot on, but ARAAS was saying that Kirbs had got the wrong end of the stick. It was a goal for Wycombe, not against them.
